Realize I am approching heresy here.
But.
Is there any way to dismantle the subsurface shader in the Gia. and V6 renders totally?
Frankly to me they are horrible and not worth the effort to adjust to anything I consider
acceptable.
The renders with the " old familiar faces" are perfectly fine.
Would not use the new ones at all except for the investment in "Pro Bundles " etc.
Looking for a one click adjusts all kind of thing

Try applying one of the other shaders that you find preferable, holding down the ctrl(Win)/cmd(Mac) key and selecting ignore for maps. That may not work, I haven't tested, but since the SSS Shader will retain existing maps when it is applied it might.

Thank you , realize my opinion is in the very small minority.
