Hi,

is there a chart of hotkeys for Daz studio.

I'm looking for hotkeys that will allow me to rotate and translate the view... right now I'm moving the mouse to the onscreen gui and doing that which is really a pain in the *ss.

anyone?

There aren't any. You have to use the mouse on the actual viewport tools. The best you can do is go to Window > Workspace > Customize and take a look through the list on the left for the hotkeys. The View* entries are the closest you're going to get.

Now if you hover over the different viewport tools, you'll get a tooltip that tells you what the hotkeys are to get that certain icon to do a certain task, but you have to have the cursor on the viewport tool, you can't just say mouse click in the viewport itself and pan around (I really wish you could).

There are modifiers for adjusting the view by dragging in the viewport. I think the default for rotate, for example, is ctrl-alt-drag (ctrl-opt-drag for a Mac) though I've changed mine. You can set new modifiers for viewport interaction (view changes, weight-painting and polygon selection) in the lower section of Window>Workspace>Customise - select the function you want to change from the drop down, double-click the current shortcut, and use the key/mouse combination you want to replace it with in the entry box (so i hold down al and click in the box to set my preferred orbit shortcut).

thanks a million... it was the ctrl-alt that i need for rotate and pan.... it works

Almost 2 years and never knew that was possible. Never even noticed that option @ the bottom of the custo window. /slaps self
Time to re-bind with Blender-style keys. Woot.
