Need help finding: Castle Corridors

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to put together a fantasy comic at the moment, and have hit a bit of a wall when it comes to finding castle interior scenes that can be used in Poser.

Does anyone know of something that might be available for Poser? Any kind of castle corridors or interiors would be appreciated. Intricate and respledent options preferred, but I'll take anything at this stage.

Thanks for your time!

Yeah, there are plenty of dungeon type sets, not so many resplendent ones, but there are a couple of sets that could work a treat for the luxurious style with very little effort...

e.g. The Ballroom can be a great room for all sorts of stuff http://www.daz3d.com/the-ballroom-1 and has several texture expansions so that every room/corridor doesn't need to look the same (and has Poser pp2 files for all items).

When I say corridors, the set loads as a room, but you can add/remove items individually too, so you could make a big corridor without having a fireplace every 30 feet etc.

Here's the standard pre-load (with ceiling removed for better view), followed by an adjusted scene, with fireplace replaced by a door and wall pulled in to make narrow corridor, and the last shows with ceiling scaled to fit new width (just realised I should've tried scaling floor too, but you get the idea I'm sure).

There is also the Grimstone texture expansion pack in the PC as well.

If you'll be needing a lot of locations, here's a few more rooms that have that upper-class luxury to them...

It also depends if you need to stick to a certain time period too, but Medieval and dark age fantasy are more stone-based than plaster and gilt. Of course, even modern stories can use old time locations if there's a long historical legacy to the characters.

Yeah, I keep meaning to use this old stuff a lot more myself, especially as so much of the background gets blurred with depth-of-field most of the time :)

Thanks everyone for your replies so far. I own most of the items you've pointed out, and will certainly be using a few of them in various scenes. For the corridor, though, I think I'll be trying this one for the moment: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/dungeon-construction-set-pro-by-3-d-c/84189/

The stone walls kind of appeal to me aesthetically.

For those interested, here is where things currently stand. I'm pretty happy with how it looks. It's definitely more of a 'service entrance' kind of look, but it suits this part of the story anyway. For more 'official' corridors, I may be using one of the above items.

    Thanks again, everyone!

Edit: Should have said that this is the 3DC construction set mentioned above, with the Baroque Grandeur carpet added in.

    cool

...and in addition to earlier post, here's another set I keep forgetting to use - Anderson Hall http://www.daz3d.com/anderson-hall

could be handy if you need to skulk past some royal sentries, hehehe

Though this is more of a corner set focused on the waterwell, the back halls can be used as castle walls.

If you want something ludicrously huge in scale, there's this:

The Long Sinister Corridor, by McGyver, at ShareCG.

He does some insanely huge set-pieces, they're really good, highly detailed, with some of the most entertaining Readme's I've ever encountered!

This is one of my fav sets. It is just so fun to play with. Matching it to real D&D maps is also a breeze if any do RPG's with handouts.
