What do I need to do in order to be able to "ungray" the "Options" check boxes (see attachment) in the "DAZ Script IDE Preferences" dialog?

Auto-complete at least isn't available. It was in DS2 and earlier, but the switch in scripting engines by Trolltech/Nokia with the Qt upgrade in DS3 took that away. I suspect the other features are also not, at this time, configurable. This was definitely a downside of the change to the newer version of Qt, and it may well be better to use a full separate text editor for more complex scripts (though you still won't get auto-complete, of course).

    Thanks for the update.

I found that Qt is still maintained by Digia who obtained the tool from Nokia. Would it be an option to follow-up that version or is their a stromg internal link between DAZ 3D and Qt in order to get it running?

Qt is used to create the DS interface, it isn't something we as users have any control over. If the script tools have been updated in newer versions of Qt we can hope they will find their way back into DS at some point, though framework updates are not to be undertaken lightly.
