Would I be a fool to drop $90 bucks on M5 Pro right now?

I'm all set to buy the V6 Pro bundle. That's a done deal. But I also wanted to get a Michael bundle. I'm getting kind of board just rendering females. I have so many ideas for scenes with male characters.
However, $90 is a lot of cash to drop on the M5 pro bundle if M6 is around the corner.
Would I be a fool to drop $90 bucks on M5 right now? Should I hold out?

if your unsure then you should pass. Maybe go for David 5 instead, hes the same price.
$90 would be an ok price for Michael 5 Pro Suite, it's possible not so great for the M5 Pro Bundle.
But October is usually the Platinum Club Anniversary and there is usually a humongous sale where prices fall drastically during the month, so It might be worth holding out till then.
Unless of course DAZ decide to move or cancel the Anniversary, then I'd still wait for a big sale because I'm cheap lol
Isn't Michael more popular than David? Like Victoria vs the Girl? Isn't there more stuff for Victoria and Michael? I though Michael would be more suited for warrior dudes, gladiators, etc. David seems to be more of an everyday man.
I'm not questioning on whether or not it's worth $90 bucks. That's not an issue. I just don't want to drop $90 bucks and a month later M6 comes out.
I'm new to the DAZ word so I don't know the time lines for new character releases. V6 just came out in June, so I don't know what that means as far as a M6 release. The Girl 6 just came out. I would have expected M6 to be not too far behind. I saw another M6 thread from last year that seems to hint that female figures are always released first.
Adzan you have a point i forgot about PC Anniversary.
Ryemac3, Michael 5 vs David 5 character wise makes no real difference, they are both based on genesis. Yes Michael has an M5 hero morph but you can morph David to be ripped as well. I have seen some very nice renders of David that look tough. check out http://laticis.deviantart.com he has some very nice renders of David 5.But in the end its all up to personal taste. you have to chose what model your are more comfortable with.
as for more content M5 and D5 are both genesis and so as long as the apparel says genesis it will fit both.
According to the product documentation, Victoria 5 was released on 25 Oct 2011 and Michael 5 was released on 24 April 2012. That's a six month gap. Victoria 6 came out on 20 June this year, so by a process of induction Michael 6 could be out by Christmas.
M5 or M6? I guess that would depend on if you prefer Genesis with the cross-gender useability or Genesis 2 which looks to have returned to single gender figures. And I have not heard or seen anything confirming or even hinting when M6 will be out. Those are the points that I would consider.
Sounds good. So I think I'll go with V6 and M5.
With the release of G6 i wouldn't expect a new model for a few weeks. They will want to cycle through some of the G6 centric content as to expand her library. but that is just my opinion.
Next month is the PC anniversary. If you can wait, you can end up with some pretty good deals on DAZ Originals. Most of the Pro Bundles I've bought have been at 70% off or more.
Look into getting a Plat Club membership, you'll be paying closer to $70 per bundle if you do.
The M5 Pro Bundle is full of great products. It's my favorite bundle and one of my favorite purchases here. But that having been said...yes, you might be better off either waiting a bit (for M6 or for a sale), or spending a bit more to get Carrara 8.5 Pro (including the M5 and V5 Pro Bundles).
DAZ runs sale on those Pro packs quite often so I'd hold out for a bit and see if it goes on sale
One thing you have to remember and may sway your decision either way, is M5 is built on the original Genesis, so all the clothing will autofit on the entire Genesis gene pool, and that's currently huge, whereas M6 is built on G2M (Genesis 2 Male) and though eventually will probably have tons of body type clones is currently not as vast.
Interesting you appear to be using the present tense so have the PA's already got M6?
Just bought M5 Pro. I'll hold off on V6 until I have a little more "hobby money". I do have V4 already, so she'll hold me for now.
I also took advantage of that 30% "8-hour" sale and bought another $40 worth of goodies. I can now officially say I've spent over $400 on content. And I've only been using DAZ for a little over a month! I think I have enough stuff to keep my busy for a while. (Well, until the next "too good to pass up" sale hits!)
