Okay, here are my top ten. I actually do not have a number 1 product. It was too difficult to choose just one of the many great things sold here. =-) To make the list, I had to find the content useful, and something I have used repeatedly. These top 10 products, I’ve used repeatedly over the last year. These items make my top 10.

    SereneNight's top 10

    Ryuu for M5
    http://www.daz3d.com/ryuu-for-m5
Ryuu is a wonderful character, truly professional quality. He renders consistently well and is has many options. He is a unique creation, worth owning, and rendering. This is my only specific figure on my top 10.

    Handy Dandy
    http://www.daz3d.com/handy-dandy
I find myself using Handy Dandy often to convert old poses to Gen 2. This tool is essential if you want to use older poses with newer characters. Utilities may not be glamorous, but this one is certainly necessary, especially if you love using older poses.

Growing up for Genesis 2 females and V6
    http://www.daz3d.com/growing-up-for-genesis2-female-s-v6
I find the chest fixes for gen 2 females a useful product. I use this again and again to adjust the figure. A great overall package.

    Michael 6
    http://www.daz3d.com/michael-6
I may not care for M6’s head/face shape, but there is no question that M6 has made things a lot easier for those of us who like to render men in addition to females, and brought new life into the store with his accessories, clothing and hair. M6 has a nice body shape, and he poses well. This is an essential and (much needed) product.

    Rogue SciFi Suit V6
    http://www.daz3d.com/rogue-sci-fi-suit-for-v6
This is a quality outfit, works on both genders, includes poses and firearm. I think this is the only clothing item that made the cut this year. Stonemason’s attention to detail and realism is evident In this science-fiction bodysuit which crosses gender lines, and looks believable and fun. I love it.

    Da Glowing Eyes-
    http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=da+glowing+eyes&x=0&y=0
I like this product and have used it quite a bit, even though it is still quite new. It renders well, is easy to apply and works to liven up your sci-fi characters and critters alike.

Ron's War Element - Great for post work, not just for battle scenes. Works well in conjunction with other layer styles. Has a lot of different brushes and PSD files.-currently unavailable

    Ron’s Sci-Fi optical Flares
    http://www.daz3d.com/rons-sci-fi-optical-flares
    - Great piece of work. Very useful. Nice level of realism.

    Science Fiction Pistols
    http://www.daz3d.com/science-fiction-pistols
This is an oldie, but I use it quite often. The pistols look good and are fun to mess with. Sometimes old stuff is also good stuff!

    The Garbage Pile
    http://www.daz3d.com/the-garbage-pile
This one was a freebie. But the props are very useful, it comes with some nice lights too. I’ve used the ‘junk‘ prop items again and again. . Items that are cheap and render well are always welcome in my top 10!

http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/33478/#505977 is the entry. SereneNight, tjohn, and Jindi need to read the daily news. I'll get you in the next edition if I do one Tarina :)

Here's SeaNautica in color, the image used for the newspaper.

How it was done: created primitive planes, sunk them in the newpaper, then attached an image to them in the Surfaces tab using the Diffuse channel.

Speaking of that, the SeaNautica sorceress is another favorite in my top ten, and no surprise.

    Novica top ten: #2
    Ariadne For V6

    http://www.daz3d.com/ariadne-for-v6

Ariadne has that same easy to light skin that Nova has, plus her dark makeup option makes her a great villan or an intense heroine. She can also be quite sultry. Here's the image used in the RRRR SeaNautica entry, it's in the newspaper (minus the print of course.) Ron's Angel Dust brushes. She is pictured in all of these renders.

    Novica top ten: #3
    Easy Shadows

    http://www.daz3d.com/easy-shadows

These "gel presets" create beautiful shadows- my favorite is the tree branches. They are easy to use- think of a plane that you can move back and forth in front of your camera, and the light sees through it and casts a shadow. It's fun and easy! The scene with the casket has the shadows.

    Novica top ten: #4
    Taylor Hair

    http://www.daz3d.com/taylor-hair

Looking for a short hair style? Taylor Hair is easy to pose and lots of nice layers. Shown on Ariadne in all renders. Another good short one is Pyrit Hair.

    Olympia.
    So many new shinies!
    Help, I’m bleeding money…. :ahhh:

I have to say, I was a bit skeptical of Olympia, but I really like this character. Her hips and build and face are quite appealing. I think she has a lovely sort of beauty that is different than v6. She appears more proportionate to me given her hips/breast/waist ratio.

I also really like the skin. That skin, is the best of the default female characters that I've seen so far. It is lovely and rich and golden.(although I have detected several seams, they aren't an issue for me given their location =-)

Overall, do not regret buying the base figure. I think she's my favorite female new release.

PS: Nice job with your new gallery image. I like what you did with the loincloth and the stonemason set. =-)

I hope the clown in the lower picture didn't have a curry before assuming that position. If he did, the old boy on the box is gonna get it!

    LOL Poor old fella. =-)

Tonight I've been playing around with Olympia and messing around with lights to use with her. So far, I think I like the lights that come with Aiden for M5 http://www.daz3d.com/aiden-for-m5 look pretty cool. If you have the character you might want to test it out and see if you like the preset. Of course if you have lights you like as well, (premade lights), let me know. =-)

Here rendered against a sky background by Victoria Goodman from Rendo..

Ya know, they really should let people know this in an email- if you have bought the pro bundle for Olympia AND big cat, you get this for free. I did not get an email- did you? Come to think of it, I haven't gotten an email in a week or two- uh oh.

Has anyone tried this? You should go and click on the image below "See Animated Samples." REALLY COOL. My question is, how hard is this to do? How do you do it?

No email announcement for me either, but I read about it in the Product Description page.
Here's Pose 01 from the set. I had to adjust Olympia's hands a bit as I used the Tiger Morph instead of a Lion.

Very cool. I like it. And the actress they chose to play WW is very exotic looking.

You'd think that tiger would look happier, lol! Having a babe using him for support is NOT a bad thing. Very nice!

I used that hair in the aforementioned render, and I like it. And at $1.99, what's not to like? :)

I was thinking of the Tiger as a protector, thus the defensive expression.

OK, the one thing I'm unhappy about with the Big Cat 2; there aren't any "tongue out" poses. I want them to be able to drink, pant, etc. :blank:
If there's a pose for that, I haven't found it yet.

I have it and have used it a while ago, I believe I just changed the UV's in the drop down in surfaces tab and chose corrected UV for genesis when I used V4 mats on Genesis. I know it was very simple to use and made a subtle but nice change in the maps especially around the eyes. I noticed in most with strong makeup on characters. I don't have my laptop going yet as I am at work but I will try to post you some renders later if you like, or if someone hasn't already.

Thanks- I'll take your word for it as you know what you're doing. Sounds like a nice thing to have and eventually I'll give it a try. I'll get it while I have the Snowball discount, as I don't ever recall Bringho on sale. I'm focusing on picking up items with my discount of the vendors that rarely go on sale, but have a list and am waiting throughout December to see what goes flash/is on sale. Billy T has a M4 firefighter outfit (I didn't look at it closely but noted it) Maskim Xul has Deeta Textures, Idler 168 or 68, can't read my notes lol has 5 pairs of slingback pumps. I never see these vendors featured.

I have it too. You can read more instructions and tips for using it in this thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24737/#365082 .
I did have a problem with DAZ crashing if I clicked on the gear for parameter settings on one of the shaping morphs, but other people could not reproduce that crash. Anyway, it is not necessary to be clicking on that for normal use. I was just experimenting. Normally you would just apply a V4 skin to Genesis, select the V4 skin surfaces in the Surfaces Tab, and change the UV to the V4 Corrected UV in the drop down for UV selection. It is pretty easy. The changes a re subtle but good.

    thank you barbult!
    Please check your PM's.

I am going to go start the new thread, if everyone will be careful and not post past 1499 I would appreciate it. I need to reserve the first few posts over on it so I can do the product list (which I have to work on)

Secret there is to post your starter post, and then put in how ever many extra posts you need, with some quick wording like reserved post one two etc.

You can alwasy edit them after to add what you want in them.

Thanks :) Was already doing that (had done it from thread 1 to thread 2.) I'll have to copy/paste SereneNight's top 10 list for 2013 over there as I want our lists at the beginning of the thread. I'm almost ready.
