Daz|Studio 4.6 Collada Export Settings for Carrara 8/8.5

It used to be so simple when i just could save a DS scene and import those into Carrara.

I bought Carrara 8.5 the other day as an upgrade. I wouldn't have bothered if it hadn't been cheap and atm i am wondering why i bothered.
And i am short before returning it again as it drives me nuts.

I tried a simple scene with Genesis 2 in DS and useed Collada to export it and when i imported the scene in Carrara the poor thing looked like it made a diversion through a very bad horror movie. A bit miffed about the result i ignored it and tried the same with V4.
Vicky comes out normal but her dress looks like it got caught in a mangle.

Someone please tell me what settings are needed for the Collada exporter so it looks ok in Carrara 8.5 or better even for Carrara 8 because i probably will give 8.5 back and stick with 8.

Thanks in advance

Collada's not the format you should use - for 4.6 to C8.5 use .duf

This is what has been working for me.

    For single character
    - load figure in Daz Studio (example, use default Genesis)
    - choose shapes and textures as normal in Studio
    - use "save as" and choose "character preset" in this example of a Genesis character
    - DSON menu comes up, make up a file name.
    - Run Carrara 8.5 (note serial number problem today)
    - Open browser tray. Under content tab, look for your saved DSON compatible file in "My Library" under presets, character.

For multiple figures/props, choose "scene" or "scene subset" in "save as" menu, or choose "scene assets" under support assets.

Depending on your configuration, you might need to make sure your Studio has administrative privileges when saving the DSON file.

You can also save the figure as a "support asset", rather than a "character asset." Support asset choices are at the bottom of the "save as" menu" in Daz Studio.

Thank you but i'm returning Carrara 8.5 anyway. I still have Carrara 8 Pro, Bryce 7 and Vue Frontier as alternatives.

95% of the things i am doing work fine just in Daz|Studio anyway :)
