Really like both characters and also bought the Merfolk add on while I was at it :)

Highly appreciate that all of your characters are very versatile, and fit into many different scenarios and settings. That this is usually what I am looking out for in characters due to story illustrations. Thank you for both of them ... or all four of them if I count the two Merfolk options on top :)

Thanks for that. I am really glad that you like those two, and I hope they give you many great renders. And I hope that you like the tails that come out tomorrow for some great undersea renders. :)
Thanks also for your comments about my other characters, it means a lot to me, so thanks :)

While waiting for the tail to get fixed, so I can do the planned scenes.. here is a little byplay with Nalin *whistles innocently* He just screamed Playful, cocky, confident and naughty when I pulled him into the viewport.. so yeah *grins without shame* And don't mind the stretched looking rock behind him too much, think I kinda made it a tad bit too big *coughs*

Nalin was having a nice time preparing to sun himself on his usual spot, when suddenly he got company... his eyes searched the girl as he quirked a eyebrow, her smile slightly shy as she raised her camera. Nalin blinked, than smirked and held his towel losely. His head tilted, the smirked grew into a playful smile and his eyes closed slightly. His voice deep and playful as he asked her "Want me to drop it?"

what tail did you go for, I'm already excited to see what scene you've planned. But I already LOVE this render. It just shows how playful you get with your art, great job, you brought a big smile to my face waking up.

    Hello FWArt,

ein quick question yet: I can use all the tails that are in shop today on them right?

Yep they will work on her, if you go for the Sickleyield ones make sure you go for the Genesis 2 Female(s) one, as they are two different ones out there. The -esha- one was designed with those two in mind, so that one will work as well. so the answer is yes, you can use them both, just make sure you get the Genesis 2 Female (s) versions, as that will fit nicer. Also just in case you're wondering, there are two pose sets, one by FeralFey, which again had a Genesis and a Genesis 2 Female (s) version, get the G2F version here it works better. But there is also one by Muscleman, which is advertised as Genesis, and it's designed for it, but also works well with those two. Hope that helped, but any questions just ask.

Since Nalin got to play, I figured Naida needed to come out and play a little too.... she doesn't look to have as much fun though *laughs* poor girl might have dived too deep :)

Oh I am certianly having fun now *wicked smile*

Here's a first try with working with the tails, I do believe I need to actually render more mermaids, as I have a hard time to position these tails so it looks naturally *laughs* My first ever mermaid/merman render

Looks great and you can tell you're having fun. Yeah I know what you mean with tails, when I started doing my renders it was like... where do I put them. lol
by the way, just in case you want to... the claws in Naida's folder will also work on Nalin, just in case you ever fancy giving him claws. :)

In the interim of the other serie, here's the latest PC weekly entry.. with Naida (and water cam, water lights, Poseidon Plants and Mermaid for G2F)

    Mermaid

Many a man has become victims of the deep waters, simply by attraction the attention of one of the beautiful mermaids within the depths. Now you have her attention, will you become another man lost to the deep?

Here's my first picture with Naida and Nalin. I'm using his merfolk persona, while she is human.

oh before I forget.... I've got a question for anyone who got those two. As you'll have noticed Naida got dark and light brows, is that something that was easy to figure out, or should I have labelled them better. Also is it something that is of any use really.... just wondering really.

Thank you :) They are both really quite lovely characters.

About the brows - I just realized that was what that meant now that you said it. I see now how it is set up, and it makes sense, but I actually did not question it enough when I was looking at it the first time through to wonder what it meant (was going for no-makeup in that render anyway). So.... hmm.

I do really appreciate that I have the dark brows as an option. I don't know if its feasible to just have them as a single option switch, separate from the makeup, where just the brows change light or dark, that could be nice. I'm guessing maybe because of the different makeups affecting the brows this is just the best way, in which case I'm perfectly happy with it.

I found that pretty easy to figure out myself, a big DARK written on th make up options/nude option spiked my curiosity enough to click nad see what happened ;P

And yes, it IS of use. Now it's possible to actually make a girl with blond, really lightbrown or lighter reddish hairs, without forcing her to wear make up. So I for one is happy for that possibility

Not sure if this is easier or not, but perhaps it would be easier to make the brows as props in a sense? Instead of baking it into the make up. Basically in the case of Naida, you could have done two brows to choose from, which worked regardless of make up, and than only having to do one set of each make up, instead of two... no idea if this made any sense, but I suck at explaining :) And I have no idea if that is easier or more work for you as the artist truth to be told, just an idea that slipped into my mind. The way with having the brows as "props" in a sense would also give the option to have a eyebrow - less texture for those that want that.. I think

    Never mind my ramblings *blush*

Yeah. Having different options for the brows is always a bonus. Occasionally a vendor will offer a makeup-less brow option which is cause for celebration for those of us who want to turn everybody into kids.

Thanks for your feedbacks on the brows, I made sure I had a no make up option for both brows as well, so it would give the option of using both brow option in any kind of scene. I played with many ideas and ended up using this option, because it meant it worked in poser and studio. I could have used LIE. but that wouldn't have worked in Poser, and Genesis 2 doesn't have a separate brow UV anymore, so in order to make it work, I did it this way, maybe next time I look at other options, but until I figure out how to write a python script for Poser so I can use LIE in DAZ and python in poser I guess this has to be the only option... but most certainly a challenge trying to make it as just a single switch option. shall look into that. in the meantime I hope you get plenty of joy out of the girl, with or without the makeups. and in case anyone wondered, the Makeup00 is the option without many makeup, and Makeup00_dk is the dark brow option without makeup. :)

Here is my hommage to the two.

When I saw Nadin his sensitive lips caught me at once and when I saw the Triton mertails I immediately thought the scene from Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, when she got the vial from the merwitch and splitted her mertail into legs. My image is a different story, but it tells the same sadness and tragic of the world.
