I knocked up the above using the new Aniblocks G2 High Heel Walk.

It wasn't easy with so few Aniblocks available for G2 Female.

After the initial assembly and animation sequence I exported the scene to 3DS Max for the application of cloth modifiers, lighting and rendering.

I am particularly pleased with Fashion Hair as this is nicely constructed to add a cloth modifier in 3DS Max.

    Nice work, very convincing.

You need to get her some high heels, her feet are gonna cramp.

    Cheers Steve.

It is amazing how much you notice after the fact. I wish I'd pointed the toes during transition, in retrospect, and probably would subsequently.

Using Aniblocks is great for a quick animation but, because they create keyframes for every frame, they are a bit of a pain if you want to adjust them.

Offsets on figure subtracks work best in AniMate. I'm learning to stack many subtracks for the work I have been testing. Just a bit of FYI.

I have been using the decafe version of Animate trying to decide if it is worth the extra for the full version.

Considering the limited availability of Aniblocks for G2 Female (my current favourite base asset) I am reluctant to invest too much in it at the moment but could probably achieve a great deal more if I did.

    Looks really good John.

I would definitely recommend the full version of animate along with graphmate and keymate as extremely useful - if not essential - tools for animation in DAZ|Studio.

    Thanks Posermocap.

I do have both Graphmate and Keymate and agree with you in respect of the usefulness of Keymate. Graphmate would be good but it seems a little idiosyncratic as to whether it will show up or not. I would certainly be much happier if Graphmate worked effectively as the concept is something I am familiar with from 3DS Max.

I have read again the spec sheet for the full version of Animate 2. Strangely there seems to be a lot of functions which were available in previous versions of Animate but got lost in the Lite version shipped with the latest DAZ. This has caused some frustration as I have tried to do several things which I did previously and now seem unable to achieve. Looks like I may end up buying Animate 2 as it could be quicker than some of the convoluted work arounds I've been trying.

Here is a good tip for AniMate2. With the Genesis Foot Offset I get very good results from V4 and M4 Aniblocks on my Genesis figures. Just add the offset to a sub track and your ready to go. And for that really better than standard look I suggest the Genesis Alive set. It will add all those little touches you need for better realism.

I have now invested in the full version of Animate and am very excited by the prospects. A quick first play looks very promising. I am probably tying my own hands with a preference to working with G2F (particularly when I already have a reasonable library of Aniblocks for V4).

On the plus side it looks like many of the v4 aniblocks will still work with G2F once foot curling and excessive finger bending is cured. In some cases this is no more than grabbing the foot rotation keyframes in the graph mode an moving them up.
