sales and refunds question

I just submitted this support ticket, but knowing it's a holiday weekend, with the sale only being one day, I'm repeating my question her hoping someone on staff my be lurking and can help.

On August 22, I purchased Quilts and Calicos at $14.95. Today it's on sale for $10.47, lower if I buy two more thing on sale. Am I able to get store credit for the difference?

Or doesn't it work that way?

    They usually prefer you submit a request for price adjustment and include a picture of the new price of the item. However because this sale is complicated and buying it at a lower price ads to the discount it may be simpler to repurchase it and request a refund on the other item... I have done it both ways.

    I thought about doing the double-buy thing, but didn't know if that would work. Thanks :D
