Can't Find all the Morph control for: Genesis Evolution Bundle

Could some please tell me how I can find all the controls for the morphs that are added with the Genesis Evolution Bundle? it seems like I am only seeing controls that were already there. When I look in the folder that Install manger installed them to, it does not look like there are any sliders for them in the control panels.

This is where they were installed: "C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\DAZ 3D\Evolution"

Thanks

Robert

They do not list as a Single GROUP. And many of them only list when the proper part of the body is selected. I get Most when I just select Genesis and use the Parameters Tab with Actor or Universal opened in the list.

Thanks, I tried that and they still are not there. For example. the elf ears or being able to morph the ear lobes. I compared to what I could see in a youtube tutorial and they always had more controls. My ears only has two morph sliders.

I have Elf Ears but I never had any for ear lobes that I know of. Not in Evolution if I remember right. I have well over 16000 different morphs now so I might not be seeing it.

the earlobe morphs are included with the genesis evolution head morphs

Parameters - Actor - Head - Ears - Real World:
    Earlobes Attached
    Earlobes Length
    Earlobes Size

Morphs not showing up could be the content manager not running or daz studio not updating the figure when the morphs are installed

Thanks for checking. This confirms that it is not working right on my end.

Can you tell me the director path that your Evolution folder in under? I'm thinking that the DMI may have installed mine in a wrong location. I'm going to try to see if the Content Manager Service is running.

Start the DIM, and go to the installed tab. Select the Evolution morphs in that installed list, and right click on that item. Now Select 'Installed Files', and that will tell you exactly what has been installed, and where it was installed to. This works for any installed item that used the DIM.

It is highly unlikely that the DIM installed to the wrong place. These morphs MUST be installed into the same library folder as Genesis, and DIM knows that.

Did you install Genesis Starter Essentials using the DIM, if so, use the Installed Files option to see where it was installed into. If it is a different folder, then you will have to uninstall the Evo morphs, and reinstall them to the correct folder.

Lets be clear about something, DIM doesn't know $#!+ about where your content is. It is a downloader and an installer and like all installers needs to be told where to install.

It knows exactly where your content is, if it installed that content.

It is told where to install to, no matter if you set it or not, it has a default install location, as I'm sure you know. That is clear enough I think.

I did all the DIM stuff. DIM is putting it right to the path that I find it in Windows explore but Daz3D still does not find the Morphs. Is it possible the DIM is setup wrong in regard to this product at Daz3D? So DIM is putting it where Daz told it to put it but that does not seem to guarantee Daz finds it.

I opened a ticket hoping they can help me. Thanks for the suggestions that you all have given and more to come.

I repeat, DIM does not KNOW anything, the default paths are just that, defaults built into DIM. It does not communicate with DAZ Studio, so if your content library is not the same as DIM's default nothing will work. This is why so many people are having problems with DIM as its default does not match Studio's default. Stupid Smart Content does not help matters any as it get its info from the database and will display content whether it is in a mapped content library or not. Always assume computers and computer programs are stupid and you are going to need to know how to beat some sense in to them.

In Studio: Edit / Preferences / Content Library (tab) / Content Directory Manager (button). Expand DAZ Studio Formats and note path(s) listed

In DIM: Click Cog icon, select Installation tab note path(s) listed.

If the paths don't match you have two options. First and simplest is add the DIM path to Studios Content Directory Manager. The second requires more work, add the Studio path to DIM, uninstall all your content with DIM, be sure the "Show Details" box is checked in DIM's Ready to Install tab and the Studio path is the selected path, re-install all your content.

Thanks. Please know that I am using the default paths in Daz suggested by them When DMI came out I even switched to the paths suggested, IT finds 95% of my content. I'm just having this issue wit this Morph package.

    @welchrs64

Have you checked the DIM to see where these morphs were installed to as I mentioned a few replies back?

If you go to the DIM, select the Installed tab, then select Genesis Evolution Head Morphs, right click, then select Installed Files, you should see the following list, and content location. If you don't see all of these morphs, then I would be very surprised. Make sure that the path at the top is the same as the Genesis figure install path.

Let me know if you can see the same thing in your DIM?

It shows that it is putting mine in “C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\DAZ 3D\Evolution”

All the Morphs are in Evolution.

Am I missing something? Thanks so much for all the reply's. and advice

The only other thing you could be missing, is where the Genesis Starter Essentials package is installed into, I asked if you would check that too in my last post? Select Starter Essentials and make sure that it is installed into the same folder, My DAZ 3D Library to be precise.

If you select Genesis in the Scene pane, NOT just the head but the entire Genesis body, so that it just says 'Genesis' in the Parameters pane, then go to Actor > Head > Ears, then you should find the morphs you are looking for.

My ears only has two morph sliders.

Your Parameters pane should look like the image below, if it doesn't, then I can only imagine that Genesis is in the wrong folder to begin with, as all the morphs have installed to the correct folder.

I have shaken a screen shout of both essentials path in DMI and the Evolution Head Morphs.

I took a picture of the only three Ears that show up. These are from plain Daz3D.

    Thanks

I can't see from you second image, where is Genesis Starter Essentials installed into?

It says at the top of the Evo morphs C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library, is it EXACTLY the same for Genesis Starter Essentials?

If it is, then could you please post a screenshot of your Content Directory Manager showing an expanded listing of your DAZ Studio and Poser formats folders? You need to go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager to find it.

    The Evolution Morphs are Here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\DAZ 3D\Evolution

The Morphs from genesis Essentials are here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs

Here is careen shot of DMI paths that Daz3d setup. I never touched this ever.

Thanks. I hope you see something that is out of place

Can you post a screenshot of your Content Directory Manager showing what you have listed for DAZ Studio and Poser Formats there?

You need to go to Edit > Preferences, and when that screen comes up, select Content Library, then select Content Directory Manager, and expand the listing for DS and Poser, and post a screenshot please. I am running out of ideas here.

That is your problem I'm afraid, at least we know now :-)

You have 'My Library' listed as a DS Formats folder, but NOT 'My DAZ 3D Library'. If you do not have any content in the 'My Library' folder, you should remove it from the list.

In the CDM, click on DAZ Studio Formats, then use the sidebar to add a new folder, and enter:

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library

You have that correct path entered under Poser Formats (first entry), but it needs to be in DAZ Studio Formats as well.

All of the ones at the bottom, Other Formats where you have New Content Sets entered, are not required at all, and should be removed.

After that, everything should work sweetly, best wishes.

Thanks so much!!!!! I guess I need better glasses still. I added that path to the DS Formats. Now things that had vanished on me like my Kril and Hag morphs are back and the Evolution Morphs are showing up. I attached a screen of what the CDM looks like now and my Daz morph choices for ears. This community is great! I really appreciate your help so much. Thank you!!!!

    Super!!!

I am really pleased for you. Such a simple thing can cause real trouble.

In your Poser Formats, you really shouldn't have the entries that end in 'Runtime', only the folder that 'holds' the runtime should be listed, but you could leave that for another day, it wont do any harm for the moment.

Best wishes, and have fun with DS

Thanks! This made my day. I deleted the two Poser ones that end in runtime as well just now.

Everything is still working great again.

    Thanks my friend!!

Just a little heads up. IN DAZ Studio you never list the SUB runtime folder as you have done below. That can and will cause errors. The one I show is not needed. Nore is the one below it. DS will auto see the Runtime folder inside the Content folders.
