Oktoberfest and Australians

I read somewhere years ago that the most wild and crazy attenders of the German/Austrian/Bavarian Oktoberfest, or whoever sponsers it, are the Australians. The article mentioned that they out drink everyone else and go completley bonkers. Truth or slander?
So how about some Vomitorium animations. Whoever vomits the farthest, wins.

has to be cold here too, we don't so much do the Oktoberfest as the Schützenfest in Adelaide which is similar but a shooting contest is included.

The Australian soccer team supporters at the recent Soccer World Cup ( where everyone in the world competes ) which was held in Russia drank the local pub dry.. which had never been done before in Russia.

Years ago my periodic colossal drinking binges with ale/beer and Vodka were creating so much trouble for me that I had to make a choice and stop drinking permanently. I even went to a lot of AA meetings for help. Believe it, or not, but I haven't had a drink of alcohol in over 13 years. I kind of miss the extreme good feeling of the "highs", but I don't miss vomiting my guts out with a hangover, and the horrible gloomy depression from hangovers. I remember terrifying dream nightmares too, and waking up screaming.
I can't understand how people like Mel Gibson can function and be successful with all their drinking. Winston Churchill was said to finish off a fifth of whiskey a day, every day. Holy Cow, I would have dropped dead quick from that, or ended up in the lunatic asylum.
Califonia has legalized home grass/marijuana smoking but I have always hated the way I felt on that stuff, and especially the strong stuff, so I stay away from it.
Nowadays a big bowl of ice cream, or a large bottle of Pepsi, makes me feel up. I probably have a sugar/glucose imbalance, which is common with alcoholics.

Many years ago 3 quarts of Rainer Ale would usually send me into orbit. The stuff had an awful flavor but it had a high alcohol content for ale/beer and did the best job for "kicking butt."
One time I snuck 3 quarts of Rainer Ale into a movie theater on Sunset Boulevard, in Hollywood, and hours later I found myself face down in the gutter in front of the theater. They had thrown me out of the theater for making a crazy drunken disturbance, and then the cops escorted me home. Actually, the cops were going to take me to jail, but I started crying so much and telling them I would lose my day job that they relented and just dropped me off at my home. Now you know why I had to stop drinking. How about you, any drinking horror stories in your life?
