Help with Hair Morphs in Studio

I've been trying to use hair figures in Daz Studio 4.6 and they keep losing their morphs, become unmovable and essentially useless. I found this forum post, http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=3277033. I tried it last week to test it and it seemed to work. I've tried it since and nothing changes. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm trying to finish a client project and I've lost days trying to figure this out. I'd switch to poser but I need to use the genesis model. Thanks!

If you want a quick work around for fitting, say, V4 hair to Genesis, I would actually load V4 into the scene so that her head corresponds spatially to Genesis' head, then fit the hair to V4, then hide V4. A bit cumbersome, perhaps, but what the eye doesn't see ... :coolsmirk:

Thank you for the quick response. Fitting hasn't been the problem yet. Just loosing the morphs and usability. Thank you though!

Yes, but if you fit the hair to it's correct figure you won't lose the morphs. The tricky part will be aligning the heads! :-)

LOAD the Hair, DO NOT FIT TO, Parent to the Head. Use the Morphs and Parameters to move and FIT the hair to the Genesis figure. Now you have all the Morphs and a Hair that follows the poses of the figure.

Aha! Now I understand. I feel a bit stupid. That seems pretty obvious now. I just tried it out on a couple hair sets I was trying to work with and it's just fine and fully functional. I'm still relatively new to Studio so I won't beat myself up too much but I could have saved a few days.

    Excellent tip!

Thank you very much, Cayman and Jaderail!
