Installing Content on a 2nd Computer

Hey I was wondering what the rules are for installing content on a second computer. I have a laptop that I take back and forth to work with everything installed on it now. I don't do anything with it at work but got tired of stuff stolen so I haul it back and forth.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, I have a desktop that sits here and does nothing all day.

I thought about this last night because I was going to try to do an animation for the first time. The normal scene takes about 20 minutes to render.

I put in the animation sequence, rendered. Got an error of some sort the first time. So I tried again and put the quality down to 2, just to see if something would render to see what it is like. I left it on all night and basically had to reboot the computer this morning.

Soooo...was wondering about having 2 setups.

Thanks.

if someone other than yourself owns the computer then you may need to install a new copy of Studio on that box. If your content is on an external drive or the content is backed up on an external drive that's portable it's yours, you can't give it out but you can use it.
If you own the computer, I don't think there are legal restrictions on you installing the same software on multiple systems. I have Studio and Reality on two different systems, to different versions and one serial number for each.
I have not studied the EULA to the degree where I'm ready to take the Bar exam but you should be fine.

Everything is owned by me. I live by myself and no one uses these computers or touches them except for the occassional break-in lol.

It's as StratDragon says. You can use the content you bought for yourself on how many computers you want, but when someone else wants to use it (including your breaking in criminal ;-)), they have to buy their own content (even if they use your PC!).

    From the content EULA:

Restrictions on Copying. The Content is provided for User's exclusive use. User does not have the right to provide the Content to others in any form or on any media except as set forth in this EULA. The Content may be copied in whole or in part for User’s exclusive use. Specifically, User may copy the Content onto the storage device of an unlimited number of computers. However, use of the Content on any of the computers to which User has installed the Content is for User’s exclusive use and no other individual or entity. Each individual must obtain his/her own license to use the Content.
