Oh wow ... not quite the same aa the similar named product .. :)
Simon: I think someone needs to render both products in one scene... ;)
Remind me later! :)
So that's where all this fire is coming from!
open the bomb bay doors hal
or something like that
A family member of mine was in charge of restoring/showing the Memphis Belle for a while, and I think it's amazing you are creating this! Can't wait.
This is so beautiful! Well done!
Great! Thanks for the rotating propellers maps.
Thanks for the comments gang!
@Echidnaean - That's very cool, what a great honor that is!
@xyer0 - Yup! Fully articulating nose/top/belly and tail guns...even the two side nose guns work. Articulating flaps, ailerons, rudder, tail, tabs, bomb bay doors, cockpit window, propellors and landing gear.
just imagine if the airforce created a moden day jet version of these
It's called the B-52 Stratofortress, LOL.
few years back I was at a Collins Foundation gathering with a chance to touch and crawl around inside a B-24, a B-17, and a B-25. I am 6'1 and it amazed me at how small and cramped it was inside. I couldn't imagine the feeling of being in such a small space with flak going off around you and fighters straffing you with bullets.
nice work on the fortress!
Beautiful work! Congats.
Got it.
Thanks all for the comments! It's now available...woot!

Nice.
Any chance of an add-on product (convertable to 3DL) with the complete rivet pattern as a displacement option such as from the photo below? I realize that would be an insane amount of work to have them accurately sized and positioned, given how many there are. Alternatively, any idea how to achieve it as an end user? I'm assuming I couldn't just create my own rivet and stamp it on a texture template eleventy-seven million times as I'm guessing that would result in rivets of varying size/shape?
A bump map would achieve this goal, Photoshop/MidGrey background/White circles/over UV Map...and that is an insane amount of stamping!
The size of the aircraft made the panel lines/rivets problematic...otherwise it would have them like my other aircraft.
And here we go - mazed in took only just under 16 minutes to render and it seems to have used my gfx card (bearing in mind there are 5 fully dressed and textured G8Ms in there too!):
Two questions.. what did you do for the runway surfae and any progress on the flight suits that show up in your Whistling Death airplane?
Hi! Runway was a custom prop and texture and the flight suits (mens and womens) is coming along...slow and steady!
I'm really looking forward to the flight suits!
I've had this product for awhile but only tonight looked at adding the Bomb Props. However, they're coming out a bit bland compared to the product shots. They have the Wings colors applied. Should this be one of the other maps or is there something bomb specific missing? The icons for in the prop catagory show them colored as I'd expect.
Ah, well. Never mind. Just playing around with the other maps I finally hit on using the Wings maps.
