Can Poser files be imported to DAZ?

I've been using Poser for the last few years and decided I want to try out DAZ now.
If I do so can I import Poser files into DAZ to further work on and morph them?

And in another topic, can DAZ create and render glowing spheres?

Thanks.

In general: yes, they can...but it depends on the type of file. Poser shaders and dynamic clothing won't work in DAZ Studio, and neither will newer, weight-mapped figures like Miki4. Most other things will, although often the materials settings may require some adjustment for best results.

Most things in the DAZ 3D store either work equally well in Poser and DS, or else are native to DS but will work in Poser using the DSON Importer.

Regarding glowing spheres, yes, this is possible. Szark has a good tutorial on UberAreaLight, which is probably the best way to do it: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/14536/
