    select your object in the list before create group, (you can select all in the list)

    the Daz ask to you if you want to PARENT OBJECT in your group!

    Select them, then go to Create>New Group... and give it a name, if you mean combine several items into a set you can move around and adjust as a unit.

    If you want to create polygon groups in a model, you can use the Polygon Group Editor in the Tool menu, along with the Tool Settings pane.
