How do you use "Let it snow"?

There is absolutely no documentation with this product so I presume we're supposed to know what to do to get it to work, but I can't figure it out even if my life depended on it!

There appear to be two windows in which we can change settings and that's it. I've tried many different settings, but still no snow.

I would be grateful for any help with this. Thanks!

hi you select the item in the scene tab and you also have to select the item in which you want snow on in the surfaces tab hopefully that works for ya

So if I want cover a whole scene in snow, I have to select everything and do so in two places?

I'll try it out later and let you know how I did.

    Later: didn't work for me.

still do what i said above but i forgot the pop up for the snow. when the pop up comes up you pick either top or bottom then slide the slider to 1 for select snow cos if you dont it may not work and then fiddle around with other settings to your liking and also if you want a whole scene done you have to select it all then select all the surfaces it does work i just tried and another thing is remember to render to see the effect otherwise it only looks grey all over and use 3delight not preview render. ok hopes that helps

You select the individual items in the scene tree, and then add the shader to the surfaces. It adds white snow, variable amounts to the horizontal surfaces and maintains the underlying texture. It's a pretty sweet tool, that changes the look of a scene instantly when you render it, the preview will look grey.
