    Well that’s relative too

depending on the degree and how it was obtained one can still be stupid in other areas

Some people are generalists other just shine brightly in one field and are hopeless at other tasks, not sure if stupid per se the right term though

Haha, it was actually a joke, playing on the words temperature/degree. :)  But sometimes my jokes are so cryptic that no one gets them, I think.

Anyway, I agree with what you're saying, though some say that anyone can become a genius if they really want to. Motivation is a key factor for success in anything you do.

I have found that people will go to great, GREAT lengths to prove that they are stupid. Quite often they are so stupid they don't even realize when they proven their point beyond the shadow of a doubt. If only they could cobble together a stupid thesis, they could be known as "John NotSoBright, Doctor of Stupidity, or just Doctor Stupid." Then they could go on to professionally study The Theory of General Stupidity trying to disprove that ignorance travels faster than light and has infinite density.

Regardless, a flash forward would probably be to a psychic class.devil

..degrees are overrated. I know a number of  people with a college degree who are working as baristas, retail salespersons, in pubs/restaurants,  or for hustling packages for UPS/FedEx.

..the sad part about that is if you don't have the "papers" that say you are "qualified", nobody will give you the time of day, particularly if you are older.

Perhaps it's not that the degree is overrated but that the economy is? indecision
