I finally decided to install (or was it reinstall) DIM.  I used an old installer and DIM had to update.

Wait! How can DIM kill a thread?  I know if there are internet problems, that can cut off a DIM download thread.

Wow... I never thought of it that way... that diagram clearly illustrates concept like I've never seen before.

Someone was looking for this thread, which made me want to find it, but when I did find it, I forgot what I was going say... so I'll instead address the topic of the case of the difficult toenails mentioned above...

As most people age their toenails actually become thicker... it's part of the process of Sasquatchificarion, or in less scientific terms "becoming a Sasquatch"... most people don't make it to full Sasquatchitude, as the conditions on earth don't really help facilitate the transition, but most do experience the parts involving gruesome toenails, fur growing in weird places and other various issues often attributed to old age...

The author Larry Niven touched on the subject in one of his stories (World of Ptavvs?), but didn't draw the line directly to Sasquatchification...

You could try rubbing a mixture of basil and thyme on your feet... it probably won't help, but if werewolf bites your foot, it might stop you from turning into a vampire too... I might be remembering that wrong... well, your feet will probably smell nice... probably.

    I hope this was helpful.

...I think I may be undergoing the process. hair receding, sideburns and beard becoming linger and fuller along with a hunger for beef jerky..

The first step in overcoming Sasquatchification is recognizing you have a problem... the next step is becoming a Sasquatch, because there really isn't any overcoming Sasquatchification... it's really a catch-22... but the beef jerky makes up for it.

Sometimes you have to be different. In a world full of sasquatches, be a giraffe.

Or the best giraffe you, you can be... or failing that, the best you giraffe money can buy.

  • NylonGirlNylonGirl Posts: 1,817

I think the DAZ calendar killed this thread.

  • constantly getting cloudflare working DAZ isn't is definitely a joy killer

  • This thread is only 5 pages away from being killed off in an untimely death... and it only took 5 and bit years...

  • McGyverMcGyver Posts: 7,051

Five pages... I bet I can fill that with one post... Not this one, but a different one...

    Rats...

Suddenly I've got nothing extraordinarily stupid to write about...

    Hmmmph.

I wanted to take a nap today.  That isn't going to happen.  I will be going to bed anyway in about an hour or so.

No no, fun is bad for you! If not bad, then atleast not recommendable! Could even be illegal by now...in some countries.
