With this release, I decided to revisit an older, popular product I made ages ago.  The original product started off as just a simple display base, with some extra pieces for variety.  It wasn't very involved and didn't have very many options, so I've been wanting to make a larger, more interesting version for a long time now.

And now it's here!

Broken Road Promo Landscape

This set is a reimagined expansion on the original Broken Road set, with all new models, Iray ready textures, and three large multipart terrain pieces. Explore an abandoned overpass, or begin your journey down a curved highway, or travel to a sandy desert reclaiming an ancient roadway.

Not only does this set include over 50 modular props such as rubble, pylons, concrete dividers, retaining walls, girders, and guardrails, it also has over 30 highway sign variants.

And if that's not enough, Broken Road II also boasts a complete assortment of modular sign components with sign posts, placards, shields, emblems, arrows, letters, numbers and pre-made words.

I'm really pleased with how this set turned out and I'm hopeful people will find it useful and fun to use.  :)

Thankya!  Hopefully there's enough diversity in the set to use it for much much more than just zombie/apocalypse stuff.  Super hero fights, kaiju battles, street car racing... I came really close to doing a Battle Angel Alita promo but I wasn't able to find suitable bionic arms until after I'd already submitted the product.

This is a great looking set. I always wanted the previous version to be bigger. Thanks for making this modular so I can kitbash. Thanks also for providing letters so I don't have to go into Photoshop to edit the signs. Now, I just have to find some reflectors to affix to the letters to finish the effect. But I have to wait until next week to pick this up.

Definitely versatile for other things!  War of the worlds, Godzilla renders, dinosaurs running through (the new trex would look awesome in the this set),and much more I'm sure.  I just tend to go straight for the zombie apocolyptic kind of thing cause that's one of my favorite genres lol.

  • While I got this to go mainly with other apocalyptic sets I have, I have to say it's very versital for all kinds of renders. I still haven't messed with all the letters and numbers for the signs but it's almost mind boggling how much you put in so we could kitbash some awesome road scenes.

Thanks for the nice words everyone.  :)

I considered writing a script so that you could just type in what you wanted on the sign and it'd automatically line up the letters, but because of all the different layouts for signs and placement of emblems that got overly complex fast and I abandoned the idea for now.  I'd like to revisit that idea one day (and it doesn't help that Daz scripting isn't very well documented).  For now though, we'll just have to dial in the placement manually.  Luckily when I did the "Write Your Own Message" promo it didn't feel very tedious... place one letter, then copy position for all the other letters and slide them out.
