Morphing cape for sci-fi characters

I could use a morphing realistic-looking cape for sci-fi characters with a variety of looks... For example a high collar, a low collar, off-the shoulder etc, or simply a flap like piece for a formal outfit. Something that can be partially detached, and made to move without clinging to the body with some thickness to it. Something with high res textures.

I've tried the products in the store, but haven't found them suitable, or found they get overly attached to my character or look too medieval.

Material zones for edges, are neccessary.
