Importing Animation into DAZ via FBX

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to get some MOCAP data into DAZ to do some renders using one of the DAZ default characters, the default male. I'm using the free Daz Studio 4.6

I am not a professional animator, in fact i'm doing this as part of a research project investigating body image distortions and its the first time I have used DAZ and my professor wants me to import my animation and use it on one of his models that he has altered in DAZ

I collect motion capture data using Vicon and apply and actor and character in MotionBuilder 2012 and this works with MotionBuilders own characters very well.

I have been able to export the character from DAZ into MotionBuilder and get it animated in motionbuilder using actor input then baking it into a control rig and controlling the character from there.

I have saved this (FBX Binary). Now when I get to DAZ i import that FBX, my character reappears in DAZ in a pose set in the first frame of the animation but the animation does not appear to be in there, when I click play on the timeline it only has 24 frames in it @24fps. the FBX importer doesn't throw up any errors other than non-uniform scale.

Am i overlooking something here? please help i have tried googling it all but to no avail!
