Can Daz scenes be seamlessly opened in Carrara?

Thinking of buying the program. Is there a beta or trial out there so I can see if I like it?

Also, I have quite a bit of material I did on Studio, both 3.2 and 4.6. I understand that Carrara can use the Daz library, but can scenes that I have made with studio be opened in Carrara, with same lights and animations?

    I'm still a Noob with Carrara but, the short answer is no a lot of functions such as lighting and shaders are different. But I really love what I am seeing and happy that I took the plunge into the World of Carrara. Some Characters with clothing will come over just fine another came over that had clothing that the shader was now the color of the skin. So it's hit and miss on pulling it over.

    For me the good really out weigh the bad, especially with all the abilitys that Carrara has.
