YouTube Providing New Comment Controls

Many of us use YouTube to allow people to see our videos, and some of us have had trouble with nasty commenters (Ivy did, as I recall). About the only way to stop them has been to not allow any comments, but now YouTube will offer more selective controls:

I'm not sure where I stand on this. Nasty troll type comments are pretty bad, I agree ...

only now I do not get to see ANY comments.
(viewing video itself only brings up a few)
I will NOT allow Google+ to email or SMS them all to me with 717 videos and 11 000+ subscribers
used check YT inbox occasionally but that option now gone
