Shaders for Scales?

Does anyone know of some DAZ-friendly shaders that make things look like they are covered in different types and colors of scales?

I don't know of any ready made shaders for scales but you could go to Renderosity and there is a scale merchant resource package that you could make your own shader set from ......if you really wanted .I'll see if I can find the link.
Here this will give you a couple of choices .....

Scale shaders-really good idea. ;-)
I did some freebie scale armour textures a couple of years ago. Image based, not procedural:

If you happen to have the supersuit, you've got some scale textures...
*Note: I used the gold armor scale...then changed the diffuse color to a purple shade. I also fiddled with tile scaling to get fluke tile closer to body size scales. Bikini top tiling scale was also adjusted.
No postwork...default lighting setup...nothing fancy going on. (Rendered in DAZ Studio Pro 4.6)
Thanks so much for all the help. I'll check out the options. I'm trying to make a suit of living dragon armor for a person.
This is good to give a scale touch, but as i think if we are not able to handle scale touch in a texture then we must leave it and should try something an else in which we are able to handle all problems and difficulties.
