in other versions of daz( like DS 3 which i had and ds 2) render image sequence to preview at size 640 X 480 for example...the images would render boom boom boom
like 1 per 1 second or 1 per half second. Now it's 1 per 25 seconds. whyuyyy? what the heck?
why? Is this a bug?
i'm on mac and i got 4.6.0.18 and i got the versions prior and it was the same.

I did another test. I loaded blank file with V4 the base figure with the included simple texture(skin and underwear) and that rendered to Image Sequence with Preview Rendere...went really fast like pop pop po.. 1 image per like 1/8th second
So that worked.. Why are my other characters not rendering as fast.
Those characters are V4 morphs with dresses and hair but in previous versions of daz(3 and 2) i did the same thing (a v3 or v4 morph clothed and haired) and the preveiw renders would be fast as well.
It could very well be the fact that the 3DeLight render engine in DS4+ is like 10 times more advanced and does much more shading and other calculations before the image is saved out. The newer render engine is more advanced and needs longer to do the job than it did before is my best guess.
EDIT: Same applies to what is sent FROM DS4 to the Render engine. As it also is more advanced.
