From Video File to Aniblock

Hi! I suggest a product for Daz Studio which allows to convert an animation from a video file to an aniblock. (Remember the scene of Big Hero 6 where Hiro is programming Baymax and incorporate him karate movements from a video file so easily?, I'm thinking in something like that)
I know there's a product using a Kinect for Mocap, but unfortunately it's not accurate and animations aren't well done. I think if an animation is extracted from a video file the results can be much better than using a Kinect.
So, I hope someone can develop a product like that soon.
Merry Xmas!

That would be a very cool idea! Especially when it comes to replicating dance moves and other full body movements. I would gladly buy such product if it's compatible with Genesis 3 Male and Female.
The reason the kinect was so limited was because it could
not accurately read Z axis motion coming directly at the camera.
There is no 3D"Animation " in a video file to extract.
It is a series of flat images being displayed sequentially.
and you will have the same problem as the kinect ,likely worse.
Human mocap suits have come down in price quite considerably
in recent years. they are your best option going forward IMHO.
In fact I'm thinking for all the figures, since Victoria/Michael 3, 4, Kids 4, Aiko, Hiro 4, Genesis, G2FM, G3FM, G8FM, etc. Of course it has to be a very accurate product in order to movements can be extracted very well and being loaded in all the Figures. That way I could save my own movements with a simple camera, convert them into an Aniblock and load them so easy in any of the Daz Figures. I hope someone can make this dream true!
It'll be possible eventually. It's probably possible now in somebody's lab somewhere.
if your can tolerate watching the awful presentation its here
More less, but especially for Daz, I'm thinking in something like this (starts minute 0:22):
you do know thats an animated cartoon not real software
Yeah I know, it's just a reference
