DAZ crashing solved

This can happens if you have an ATI H5450. No ATI ? No problem. ASUS as is my case sell the same model, and the H5000 series are one of the most installed models. In any case the problem came from the AMD. I don't know why or how. If the probelm is OpenGL or other question.

The fact is that rendering "difficult" or as someone said "too much complex model" or with "too much polygons" models maked in Hexagon, DAZ crash. The past year I format my PC and reinstall all. Was the same but more furious for the loose of time.

Yes, I sended the bug without responses.
Yes , including the last version.
Yes, with the last driver of the graphic card.
Yes, with space in the disk.
Yes, defraged.

The only method to render was to put the level of the quality render to 2. Levels 3 or 4 crash. At the end, upgrading the DAZ to the latest revision and seeing that was the same, I have been 8 hours working to search the problems:

1- BUMP. If you use an image in the bump option of the model's shaders, the program crash.
2- REFLEXION. If you use reflection or refraction other than 0, the program launch an error and the render is not made it. But the program does not crash.

I have erased all these parameters from all the pieces of the model, ( 8 hours ) and now the "too much complex model to be rendered in XP because XP can't use too much" can be rendered at a good speed without crashes and errors.

I expect that this comment will let make pass a very very nice day to others persons that are in the same situation. I can now render a scene that was untouchable since 1 year ago expecting a sollution.

What are the full specs of your computer? Level 2 quality uses your graphics card whereas level 4 uses the CPU therefore it is unlikely the problems is the graphics card.

Insufficient data to process your query at this time. What OS, how much memory, is it 32 bit or 64 bit? The same kind of full specs you would want to know when buying a computer.

    Jestmart:

I inform the users about a way that they can test if they have problems. It runs for me.

I don't want other test of machine that will don't take us to nowhere. I am really very tired of wait, test, reinstallations of OS and programs, and in general a great loose of time that don't resolve nothing. I have the max memory that XP can support. And the CPU was good to the DAZ products years ago when this problem started for me.

In the opposite way, WITH THE SAME MACHINE, the errors / problems had been sometimes different with different versions of DAZ / C++ / 3Delight. What for me as developper, is a very clear test about the origin of the troubles. As inform other user in this forum, seems that there are problems with the so maravillous OpenGL versions / drivers, like as I informed in the past with the msvcr90 library, C++ revisions causing problems to graphic apps including videogames.

Then, let my machine in peace. As much, the graphic card's driver is part of a family of drivers that could have problems with versions of OpenGL. But as nobody pays me to scuba in the code, my solution if other users have the same problem, is don't use this an that. Point.
