If you mean the sunbeams, they may not be a lighting effect at all but a model. I'm still quite the newbie to Daz so I can't say that's what it is for sure, but I have seen a model for them--basically just semi transparent planes or cones with string ambient lighting, which gives the effect of motes of dust or fog being illuminated.

If it is lighting, then the term you are looking to research is volumetric lighting.

As elusivealbums stated, that is volumetric lighting. You can get that effect with the Atmospheric Effects Cameras for DAZ Studio

How it was done in the render you posted only the artist who rendered it knows for sure, it may, also, have been done postwork in Photoshop.

This kind of effect was discussed quite recently, with a lot of good advice given http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/29972/

That's because it is in the members only forum.

I did a freebie for a mesh godray which is linked from that thread: http://www.sharecg.com/v/72345/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/SY-Easy-Godrays-DS

Eventually I plan to develop a full product of meshed godrays.

Hmmm. Well, if they reject my product on the basis of inappropriately religious terminology I will change it, but I don't think most customers would recognize that term. ;)
