The Steps To Erewhon

Trying to thread the needle of product feedback and disappointment.

I bought this almost instantly when I saw it was a Stonemason product. Finally had a chance to try it out today.

Kind of disappointed and the reasons why seem to be a common theme for me recently.

"Hey it's got doors. Lemme zoom in on them."

"I wonder if the doors can open."

Fiddle fiddle fiddle. Frown. Puzzled look.

"Doors only open outwards. They can only open a little bit before the door intersects with the door frame."

Fiddle fiddle.

"Ok, I can still work with this. I will just turn off the door open limits and see what happens if I open it inwards."

Fiddle. "I mean, I know it makes logical sense to only open outwards." Fiddle. "If someone was trying to break in then opening outwards means the door is automatically braced by the frame." Fiddle.

Puzzled look. The door immediately intersects with the interior floor.

...

So now I am left with the decision, do I return it or keep a model that can only be used one way?

The common theme I referred to was the lack of attention to details like this... I don't want to pick on this product, but its something that has been popping up a lot for me lately.
