Hi Folks:
Just wanted to drop the above suggestion off. Your design team did such an amazing job of the Albatross WW1 German fighter, I wanted to see if you folks would want to do a series of items to go with it Like a Mk V British Tank, or a Zeppelin, but also WW1 uniforms. It would be great for those of us who want to do more historical items. Anyway please please consider at least the uniforms and maybe even a WW1 Harley Davidson motorbike. As always many thanks for hear out our suggestions. Luv you guys and keep up the amazing work. Cheers for now

Yes we need these. there is another thread about this as well here:

HERE! HERE! I need to populate my new No Man's Land model! :)
Thanks, I'm glad you like the Albatros ... even though I am not a team. I wish I was...
Kind regards, Eagle99
Hey there Eagle, I would also very much like a proper historically accurate set of uniforms, vehicles, and weaponry to fill out the WW1 content we have access to. I'd be willing to partially sponsor some products, if you'd be willing to make them for us. I'm particularly interested in getting a Mark IV British tank, some field guns, some WW1 artillery pieces, and some British and German uniforms as well as rifles, sabers, a trench shotgun, and German/British gas masks to go with them.
You can gret much of that at one of these places and it will usually work fine in DS in OBJ format

Yeah, if you want to pay thousands of dollars just to populate one scene. Instead, I have a solution of my own. I've put together a collection of vehicles and weapons from WW1 that I'll be porting to Daz Studio as freebies, you can all make use of them I hope. The first trick is to get basic rigged vehicles into Daz, using mesh rigging. By mesh rigging, I simply mean the vehicles are made up of separate meshes for each moving part, that are set to pivot on the correct point, and are parented to each other as though they were rigged. Hopefully this can bypass Daz's annoying lack of support for rigged meshes.
EDIT: It DID work, and it worked flawlessly! I even figured out an ingenius way to add mud to the tank's base textures. I started off with the British Mark V tank as a test subject. I'm rendering the final result now, I'll release it as a freebie when the preview render is done ;D
Here it is!

Nice work! what program did you design them in? yeah, rigging doesn't transfer well at all from other apps to DS in my experience
I designed it in 3ds Max, glad you like it! Hopefully this helps fill the gap of missing WW1 content. I'll do another vehicle today!
The trick for porting fully moveable objects into Daz is doing it like I said, using the actual meshes as bones. Hopefully I can apply the same technique to the weapons I've put together for WW1, maybe we can even have fully functional bolt action rifles for Daz!
Another vote for WW1 british and german uniforms and kit just saying :)
I have some solutions for you guys, if you want to kitbash some uniforms together.
First we have the Desert Pathfinders Outfit: https://www.daz3d.com/desert-pathfinders-for-genesis-2-male-s
For the aviators out there, we have the Retro Aviators outfit: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-retro-aviator-outfit-for-genesis-8-males
and its texture pack: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-retro-aviator-outfit-textures
Next we have the Military Dress Uniforms Outfit: https://www.daz3d.com/military-dress-uniform-for-genesis-3-male-s-and-genesis-2-male-s
and the Uniforms for Michael 6 set: https://www.daz3d.com/uniforms-for-michael-6
and finally, we have this fantastic WW2 set of hats that you could easily use with your WW1 scenes: https://sharecg.com/v/48405/browse/11/Poser/Michael-4-World-War-II-Headwear-Pack-V
All of these different outfits can be used with any figure you want as your base, if you grab the autofit clone you need, those are also available here in the store.
As for weapons, the only one I found that was around in WW1 on the Daz Store is this: https://www.daz3d.com/maxim-vickers-pack
If we are talking a machine gun level of dakka, the Lewis machine guns in this beauty can be used individually: https://www.daz3d.com/iron-wasp
Like I did here, albeit with a fresh Iray optimized paint coat, mind you: https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/931021
I also found some more stuff:

I also found this scenery and pose set: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/trenches/105048/
Hope this helps!
EDIT: I found the Fokker Drei Red Baron plane as well: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/fokker-dr-poser-prop/113134/
a proper WW1 flamethrower: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/wechselapparat-1917/126964/
the famous Lewis LMG: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/lewis-mechanical-rifle/108236/
another Maxim Machine Gun: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/maxim-1910/116440/
a set of Fokker Mk 1 planes: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/fokker-dr1/138951/
An American Thomas Morse Biplane: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/thomas-morse-s4-c/93631/
Does this model strike anyone else as way off-scale? If the pilot figure is supposed to be a normal sized Generation 4 figure, then they're tiny. All the old photos show a pilot standing next to the plane generally has his head level with the cockpit edge, and if sitting in the plane, his head and shoulders are clearly visible. All WW1 fighters were tiny by modern standards, but the Fokker DR.1 was smaller than most. An odd flaw to see in a paid-for model.
Its a simple solution tho, just rescale it to fit the correct size you want.
Also, I've put together a fantastic freebie for you all, its a Lee Enfield Mk3 Rifle wearable prop for Genesis 8 Male, you can find it here: https://sta.sh/0276320bnzww
It comes with the separate prop with removable 1907 sword bayonet, as well as 3 complete wearable prop poses featuring walking, running, and aiming with the rifle.
Here is a preview image showcasing the freebie:
There's a WW1 era motorbike here: http://freedom-of-art.ucoz.com/publ/free_poser_ds/free_stuff/summoner_39_s_harley_1918_fan_art_for_poser_ds/10-1-0-1008
