How do I change the shape of character etc. (eg. Toon Generation)
Hiya....newbie here.
I've just brought some Toon Generations content for Daz and am trying to learn how I can manipulate the base figures.
I realise that there are a number of predefined morphs for the figures but I'm trying to understand how I can change the shape of body parts (eg. Face shape, Eye shape, nose shape etc) separate to the standard morphs. I'm also keen to know how to create new textures etc for clothing (I've also brought an add-on called Toon Generations Developer Pack for this purpose), but I'm afraid my lack of knowledge needs further info by way of instructions, which didn't come with it.
Apologies for my lack of knowledge for the technical terms but if anyone can help with the above or explain if is there a way that I can change the inderlying polygons (?) to change shapes etc. ?
Cheers

You could have a look here on the 3D Universe site to see how to use the Developer packs in general, the link is for Sadie Toon, but the same principal applies: http://www.3duniverse.co.za/articles/?Creating-Conforming-Clothing-Using-Our-Developer-Packs
I see in the store, that there is a deformer pack for Toon Generations as well, maybe it would help you with morphing? Have you looked in the Parameters pane for sliders which will alter the base shapes (make sure you have the figure selected in the Scene pane first)
I don't have any of these items, so I can only be of limited help.
Thanks so much for your tips. I'll have a look at the link to see if it helps.
The sliders do change some areas, but I have this vision (probably quite unrealistic) of being able to change the shapes of the underlying frame of the characters (eg. dragging polygon corners to reshape the nose or eye do this). Am I dreaming ... or is this possible in Daz ?
It is not possible directly in DAZ without morph packs. But you can export to Hexagon and manipulate the geometries there.
Thanks Cayman ........ bummer :( .... I did buy Hexagon to give it a go but I'm using Windows 8 so it won't even load, let alone work. Do you have any other suggestions?
There are other free modelling packages on the web, such as Wings3D and Blender, which can also move vertices and polygons around.
I would investigate further as to why Hex does not run on Win 8, it should I believe. If you ask in the Hex forum, I am sure that there are members there who have Hex running on Win 8.
