victoria 4 injection, morphs and character conversion for genesis

I have done some searching on my own unsuccessfully so far, with trying to find a product or directions that would allow me to convert content. My question is if anyone knows of a product that will allow me to use some of my character presets, injections or head and or body morphs from Victoria 4, and use them on Victoria 5 genesis or a5. well that generation of genesis or characters anyway, there are a few of the characters I have that I would love to be able to use with genesis or Victoria. Any that help someone could give would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for the help.

Gen X will convert V4 and M4 morphs to Genesis one. You'll need the V4 / M4 shapes for Genesis too.

    Gen X : http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x
    V4/M4 shapes : http://www.daz3d.com/v4-and-m4-shapes-for-genesis

testures are already compatible as Genesis includes UV sets for V4 and M4 textures.

Does the V4/M4 dial up morph on the base Genesis (the second link) allow you to then apply a Victoria 4 character you've purchased directly on this "dialed up" figure, and it will work?

No, it gives the base V4 shape. If you have GenX you can transfer the shapes used by a V4 character and combined with the V4 shape they will give you a close match for the V4 shape, and of course you can use the V4 textures on Genesis immediately without needing any add-ons.

Okay, got it. I normally can't get V4 textures to apply to Genesis, so this GenX transfer must be a special case.

Hmmm. I put a Spotlight aiming at the chest of a Gensis figure, set the Spotlight Shadow Type to Raytrace, ensured that the Genesis figure has Cast Shadows turned on, and then placed a second Genesis figure directly behind it.

The Spotlight shines right through the first figure and onto the second one. :-(

Oh ... but it doesn't RENDER that way!

I keep getting confused when Daz3D shows things in your work environment that are not there in the render. :-)
