C85: import eps/Illustrator

Hi

Is it possible to import an EPS/Illustrator file in Carrara 8.5 - in order to do a simple extrusion? I can't figure out how to import a vector file...

    Hi,
    in the Spline Modeler > File > Import.

    Also, from what I gather, an older illustrator format will work better than a newer one.

    it's work perfect if you export your file in Illustrator 8

    I still can't import. I can go to the model mode by clicking on the wrench, but how do I go specifically to the spline model mode? If I go to the model mode with an object selected I can edit the object, but I still can't import any Illustrator/EPS files.

    Ah! I insert a spline object. Then I am in the spline modeler.
