Girls and Guns

I have every confidence this has been done before and it does seem a little less than PC in this day and age (so worth doing ;-) )

Thanks Bigh. They are from the 1st Yosemite pack. They actually make it quite easy to produce a scene as the lighting is very good and matches the background in feel and direction. The only real issue arises if you want to see the ground. In that case camera positioning is critical or it all goes pear shaped.

I haven't used Yosemite yet but just got the second pack too. Your gals should have a lot of fun in the woods, lol. The lighting on the first gal really shows how buff she is, nicely done.

not a serious image, just wanted to point out the Kruger freebie from the store. I don't think it is historical at all, but it is fun, configurable and has a lot of little props most gun sets seem to be missing, belt pouches, holsters etc.

Its old, all dumb props cept the gun, it will auto snap together. it comes steampunkish, but thats an easy fix. Shopping for weapons I find that most seem to be missing scabbards, holsters, etc.

I like settings that don't use the glamour, botox lips and rockstar makeup, personally, and I like digital worlds that don't force roles.
I love the yosemite setting and your figures, but to me that Hummer needs some dirt and dings :) Your images reminded me to try and make a shader for the camo my son wears.

:-) It is almost too easy with the Yosemite pack. It is probably the best deal in PC going.

While before I had a default studio to check and adjust figures now I tend just to load a Yosemite scene to see what things look like before putting them into a scene to use.

You are very right about the Hummer, I must have a look as I exported one to 3DS Max and made it dirty there. As I didn't change the UV maps they might well come back into DAZ.

I also agree with you in respect of stereo types; although, living in Essex, I am almost oblivious to the bimbo look now. The thread was meant to be a little tongue in cheek and certainly not intended to offend.

I was quite surprised how few "Girls and Guns" images I actually had/have. I obviously need to try harder.

Probably because I'm in a country where you cant buy a litre of milk, pack of fags and a hand gun at the same time. :-P

Likewise, although I did have a number of handguns "Back in the Day" when such were allowed, and used to do lectures on ballistics as part of my job. Happy days. :-)

Just for you, some quick dirt. The hummer does have the potential to look really good with some good maps..........this isn't.

I've posted this elsewhere in the forums, and on my DA page, but it's certainly appropriate here too.

    BFG

What do you do when Tommie “raids” the Buccaneer Industries armory and makes off with one of their huge (longer than she is tall) sniper rifles?

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

Something of a quick (slightly naff) and tongue in cheek render. All done in DAZ though without any PP so a little bit cool (ish).

    FINALLY...

Sorry for the caps but I've jumped through a lot of virtual hoops before I eventually managed to find this thread again (having a few beers and your other (also awesome IMO) thread getting into the way didn't quite help :-)

Now that I'm here I recall: "Bikini girls with machine guns" :-) (hey now; this was actually a (dumb) song one day in the 80's :-)

All fun put aside; thanks for posting!

Today I managed to grab both packs for $4 (actually $3,98 but who's counting) and you were right. It is awesome where versatility comes in. Having said that I'd also like to point your attention to the Tropical bundle. Maybe it doesn't appeal, maybe it doesn't suit you at all. I figured I should share because this is what I've been using mostly when I needed a forrest before discovering this Yosemite pack.

    As said: thanks for sharing!

HI PETER! :-) Hope there's no headache in the he morning.

Thanks for your comments. I really glad you like the Dragon thread as well. I'm surprised we haven't had more renders on here. I thought everyone did Girls n Guns renders :-)

I did have a look at the tropical bundle but I bought the Forest some time back and have never used it. I found it too ponderous and large for characters which seemed to get lost in it. One of the many advantages of the Yosemite packs is they render quickly being little more than a sphere with material applied.

Did this a while back. It was vaguely inspired by antiheroes of 90's comics.
