Weight Map Brush Tool Lag

Hello,

I've been using DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro for 2 weeks now and have noticed some major lag when I use the Weight Map Brush Tool almost to the point of it not being usable at all. Everything else works fine with No Lag besides that Tool.

I don't know if its the program acting up or my computer. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know of a solution?

My Computer to my knowledge is well within the parameters of the System Requirements listed on this site.

Here are my Computers operating system stats.

HP Pavilion P7-1254 64 Bit operating system
AMD Quad-core A6-3620 Accelerated Processor
8 GB DDR3 System Memory
1 Terabyte Hard Drive
Nvidia Geforce GT610 GC LP 1GB DDR3 64Bit

Thanks in Advance.

What version of DAZ Studio are you using, Help > About DAZ Studio?

Is it the 64 bit version? What figure are you using the Weight Map Brush on, and is there anything else in the scene at the time.?

I'm using the 64bit version of DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro.

The figure I'm using is one I modeled using Sculptris and rigged in DAZ Studio. I've tried using the Brush on the female genesis model as well, it still lags but not as bad. The scale of my model is the same as genesis and there is no clothing or any other objects in the scene just a textureless model with rigging in T pose.

How many polygons does your figure have? Select it and then go to Window>Panes(Tabs)>Scene Info

According to that list, your figure has over 250,000 polygons.

Genesis (base) has about 19,000 polys, so your model is the equivalent of having 13 base Genesis figures in the scene at the same time, that is the problem I believe.

Hi, don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm having the same problem, and my figure has only 8,000 polygons. Can't get the weight map brush to do anything, no matter what settings I use.
