Thanks for this most excellent environment! I love it and have been wanting something like this for a while.

I have been wanting something like this too. It would be great with mermaid/merman renders.
The product says DAZ Studio only. Can I have confirmation that this is not a Poser-compatible set, please?
It's for DS only
Too bad a Poser version isn't available. I've been on the lookout for something like this for Poser for awhile.
The quest continues I guess.
Testing the waters... :)

I've been wanting something like this for a while too. The last underwater render I did I used a 2d backdrop.
My wish list just grew. I have lots of uses for it.
I'm interested in this also; but in all the promo pictures it looks crystal clear like pool water. Are there any provisions to make it somewhat murky, as would be seen in most ocean waters?
Thanks,
Charlie
I just spent about an hour playing with it, got three renders, and am pleased so far. But it is really barren. Anyone know of any sea life, animals and plants,( besides mermaids!), to populate it with?
Corals etc here http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=poseidon&x=5&y=11
Some older fish and things in the Daz store as well

There is also a site with free fish but I do not have the link on me. Chohole gave me the link a while back so maybe she can post it here for you?
I would have given the link, but they are 3ds only, and DS can't use 3ds files.
The site you were thinking of was this one http://www.toucan.co.jp/3DCG/3ds/FishModelsE.html
I'm getting an error message about a missing file when I try to load the "WavePattern Lights". Tried to install on a different computer, same problem here. Anyone else getting this?

A quick test more. In the first render I used my own custom lights (two distant lights), as I didn't feel the mermaid looked so good using the default lights in the preset scene (I removed these completely).
Now I've tried to add the removed lights again ("All Lights" icon), together with my own, and with a few adjustments. Sand Floor (which is very deep down by default) has been moved up close to the surface. Added a few sea creatures from the DAZ Sea Life packs as well. Needs some plants and stuff but don't have any yet...

I know the promos don't really show it, but this set does have a full underwater dome for Poser, and it includes a volume camera and scads of presets.

I've had disappointing results trying to use Ultramarine with Water Cam and Underwater Ambience.
The Ultramarine set is striking, but too crystal clear for fantasy-realism scenes I have in mind.
Mostly, I bought it for the water surface prop, which looks great in the primary set, but doesn't seem to like other gels or lights. I've only invested a few hours in trying different settings, but haven't managed a believably cloudy or silty look with the Ultramarine surface in place yet. Positioning has been a problem; anything beyond stock puts an annoying visible line at the point where the farthest away edge of the surface prop sits. Sorry I haven't saved any of those failed render jpgs that show a jagged line in the middle water. I think it's the end of the surface prop, showing up against the ocean sphere, probably because of how I was setting my lights and angles. Interesting.
There's always room for more experimenting, and I haven't had time to really examine the Ultramarine sand and ground props, to figure what I can expect or make them do.
Water Cam has great ripple gels and atmosphere effects cams, and Underwater Ambience has nice features, as well. Getting those two products to interact well is tricksy to begin with. Adding this also great Ultramarine set, with the nice sand ground and much-needed surface prop, brings even more possibility, but it's own issues to factor in.
Ultramarine is a great set that does what it does, by itself, really beautifully. Same for Water Cam and Underwater Ambience. Wanting more than any will do alone is my goal; to get the look I want. So, all's to learn.
