the x files

bought FPS game creator (cheap and looks easier than Unity or Unreal UDK) and found can import direct x files from Carrara into it via an entity maker program.
need to learn how to use first though before I make any games!!
(but at least I know I can create my own mesh for maps!!)
but going the other way static objects come over ok however charactes have the skeleton rig detached and broken often rotated.
Does anybody here use direct x and have any suggestions other than my plan to simply rerig the blighters or attach a Daz skeleton for animation? (this is for possible cut scenes if I make a game not redisribution btw, just video render)
(and as of yet not found how to get a rigged carrara figure into it either)

    Sorry I cannot help, Wendy. But I commend the effort you are always putting into this sort of thing, and look forward to seeing this thread grow. I'd love to learn how to do this stuff!
