FLUIDOS Presets
The setup of some fluids simulations is hard and too much time consuming. Time wasted in many trial and error tests, and time wasted in running the first useless frames before get the desired effect.
The purpose of FLUIDOS Presets series is to provide the FLUIDOS's user an easy and quick simulation process either for still renders or animations.

The first in the series is WAVES
It creates coastal waves:

Nice work. I never knew the Fluidos plugin was capable of that.

Thank you!
Fluidos can also do other, less obvious things. This series will show some of them.
I'm looking forward to a shower ;)
I'm really hoping for a good 'liquid in bottles/glasses'
WOW presents would be awesome I use FLUIDOS in a lot of animations now that I have the capabilities to animated water effects properly so any additions are welcomed..
here is a cute animation using FLUIDOS plugin
lol, nice one Ivy.

Thank you :)
This is pretty easy, you can use any shower prop you already own: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4386186/#Comment_4386186
Did you tried using geometric shells?, this is a little tutorial: https://youtu.be/YBLFDDxBWjg
Oh, poor fishes! (Well, I suppose the cat don't think so)
I Know, I wasted several days with this ;) But the drops on my figure looked always unnatural and award.
In the end I gave up and did the scene with the dForce shower product.
Well, try the shower setup I attached in the post: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4386186/#Comment_4386186I
oh, nice! I'll try as soon I have time for this (propably next week).
I'm extremely happy to see the waves presets this morning in the store. i picked it up, But now i just have come up with something for a storyline in an animation to use it :)
This is a test render in 3DL of the wave preset. https://vimeo.com/320871530
Its looks more like there s a sea monster churning the water than waves..lol
I suggest to use the HR scenes for figures close to the waves.
well it was more or less a test of your scene presets along beach scene just to see how the wave react. so I can see what I can do with it. This was 3delight 300 keyframes at 1080, & Iray would take 3 days to render 300 keyframes(10 seconds at 30kfps) so thats why i started with 3dl for testing . i like the presets right now i am still, earning there limits
At first i tried to have it as the girl walking along the shore with the waves splashing over her feet . But for some reason about 1/2 through the sim proccess of her walking through the waves studio would crash and checking the log file wasn't any help because once daz crashed it stop logging the event. after it crashed a couple of times I came up with her just standing in the water for testing i properly should have started with nothing in the scene to see how the waves looked . but like i said go big or go home.. 300 keyframes took 1 hour 45 seconds to simulate before rendering .
Testing is the only way for me to know what I can or can't do with the set. I'll do a short 150 keyframe next in Iray ,
If the MR scene took an hour in your system, the HR scene would take you about eight hours to complete 300 frames of simulation. But the rendering in Iray will last more time, of course.
For the figure animation, do you use aniblocks or directly keyframes? (only keyframes works in simulations).
About the crash, you could check the simulation log file. When the last step in the log is incomplete (from a "Step time:" to the next "Total time") , it could be a Fluidos engine issue (and I could fix it if so). However, the demo I did with the running figure worked fine.
like i said go big or go home..
You reminded me of the beta tester of Fluidos.
Thanks for the advice. I use aniblocks but i bake them to the timeline keyframes for editing. then lock it before i start on another line in the timeline with something else. so I don't mess up the finishes animation while working on a new animated props or character. Yes unfortunately I am still with 2 old school 980ti's so I have to have patients simulating & rendering things . where do I find the Fluidos log?
The logs are inside the subfolder "logs" of the Baked files folder. It contains one file for each running.
I use aniblocks but i bake them to the timeline keyframes.
Yes, that is fine.
By the way, my computer has a 520 GT, so, I have to have more patience
Thanks ,I'll see if i can duplicate the crash and check those files , you know I have a Kraken Monster I could try in this set. :) see this ideas boiling..lol
"By the way, my computer has a 520 GT, so, I have to have more patience "
Ouch!!!
Alberto, are you going to do a waterfall?
There is a waterfall example already included in FLUIDOS package.
But maybe I could do more later.

edit to say this probably belongs in the other fluidos thread, I will move the content, rest deleted, sorry for the confusion
Fourth in the series: Tornado I
(to be released soon)

This is a animation that uses the waves preset in it . i thought you might like to see how it was used
Thank you for sharing!
I like the whole video.
I have not picked up the tornado yet . but its on my list of assets for a animation so when i get to it i'll post my results. .. I'm a huge fan of your plugin & presets
