Daz 4.6 / aniMate2 reorders my aniblocks on save

edited October 2013 in Daz Studio Discussion

I have a fairly large file that I'm working with (7500 frames, 5 characters so far), and every time I save it and then reload it, there are a few of my aniBlocks messed up - in that they their order gets changed for a few frames. And it's only for a few seconds, then the rest of the file is ordered correctly.

See attachment to this post.

Is this a known issue? And is there a workaround available?

Is nobody else facing this? I see this on multiple files, on multiple computers, every day.

as you see there are not many People interested in Animation here
and i dont know if Gofigure is watching the Forums
so i think you have to live with an Animate2 that i like to work with but has its flaws
i know thats no help for you
perhaps someone is proving the opposite

This is a known issue with large Animation files in Animate. If you look close it seems to happen most often to one figure in multi figure files. I believe it is a NODE thing but am not sure. Something is happening to the code as it is written out but I do not know what is causing the code to error in just a small part of the files. The good thing is MOST of the time it's a small section that can be fixed with a little work.

What constitutes a large Animation file?

I just had this on a single character (Ghost) with 12 moves total - that's it. On save, it reordered 3 of the moves.

For the purpose of AniMate animation, Large is ram used by total frames. So a 8Gb PC with 12 Aniblocks with a total of 200 or so Frames is just as large as a 64Gb PC with 36 Aniblocks at 800 frames. Keep in mind the more complex the AniBlock the more data that is interalated. That's a lot of data in a small volume, errors can and do happen.
