I specifically want Daz 4.5 Pro, however the product page always defaults to 4.6. How can I get the older 4.5 version with a serial #?

If you got it Before all the OLDER versions are still in your My Account> Products Library section. Mine are. All the way back to DS3.

No, DS4 will default to the latest release. If you didn't save the older installer I'm afraid it isn't available.

Ah, then they should not list them. Well I got back up's anyway. Good to know.

I have an inactive 32bit 4.5 in my product library, that actually downloads a 4.5 exe.

4.5.0.114 32 and 64 bit are available in your product library IF you "buy/bought" the SDK.

    http://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-4-5-sdk

Have no idea if it'll provide a serial number though on your account page.
    "Purchasing" the 4.6 will.

That explains mine then. I do have the SDK. lol I don' t have a 64bit version of 4.5 available, though.

Nvm, found it. It's under the SDK itself rather than the inactive 4.5.

The serial number for Pro should work on all versions since it became available for free (the older versions won't take the free serial number, but their non-free serial numbers work on later versions).

For some reason I started saving all my old apps in a folder, and sometimes it comes in handy. I've still got all the DAZ Studio versions back to 2.3. It takes up some space on the drive, but you never know when you will need that old program.

I'm a bit Confuzzled now. So the files that LIST without inactive in the TAG are still in my Products Library, yes I have the SDK for it. SO I do have it? Right.

Inactive just means they're no longer sold. The question is whether software products will update to the most recent major release (e.g. DS3 will always be 3.1.2.32 rather than 3.0)

So then the 4.5 downloads should always be the most recent of 4.5 and not update to 4.6?

No, I would expect any DS4 to update to the latest.

Thanks. Wasn't sure what Daz considered "major/primary versions". lol

That said, I do see I still have 4.5.1.56 in my Product Library as well as 4.6.1.17.

I think that DAZ 3D has followed up on this thread. All my DS4.5 files have been set Inactive now. Sort of solves all the questions for us.
