Does it come with a Pearl Harbor?
Looks nice!
Is there a possibility of the RAF Spitfire, Hurricane, Mosquito or Lancaster?
Um, I'm really not trying to be "that guy," but Zeke's didn't carry torpedoes. Late war Zekes were outfitted with bomb racks, depending upon type and availability, but not torpedoes. Just thought I'd pass it on for what its worth. Now, a Kate would definitely be lugging a torpedo around!
Well it does come with an external gas tank and bomb which they did carry. If I didn't have a torpedo then someone will say they want it...sometimes you just can't win!
@DarkEdgeDesign "If I didn't have a torpedo then someone will say they want it...sometimes you just can't win! "
You didn't put a torpedo on the Corsair. The simple answer to people wanting a torpedo is that Zeros didn't carry them.
You can win if you stay true to your concept. When you're modeling historical items, you know people expect accuracy.
Gang, you are all correct. My apologies and will strive to do better.
I hope I didn't come off as overly critical of offensive - certainly NOT my intention. I happen to be a WW2 aficionado and a WW2 detail freak, so that was why I mentioned the torpedo issue. And actually, one or two test Corsairs did test torpedo dropping, but only as test articles from the Chance-Vought plant.
PS. Love the texture packs - very nice!
Look ma, no torpedoes ..

I like accuracy, but groan and shrink down into my seat when someone, there's always one, who complains, "Augh! You have one too many rivets in the wing strut!!! At 3:43 p.m. on this day of this year, there was a documented incident at one of the factories resulting on one LESS rivet, but no model, EVER, was produced with one too many rivets. Your model is historically RIDICULOUS and blah blah blah."
That said, and I wasn't picking on anyone HERE, would it fly (nyuck, nyuck) if DarkEdgeDesign had put in the product description, "And even though the Zero did not ever carry one, just for fun, I added a torpedo." <LOL>
I've been buying all these aircraft and loving them except for one thing - this one thing... Man, is there any chance of getting a properly clothed pilot figure? It could be little more than a crash test dummy, but my pilots end up looking they just jumped off their motorcycle into the cockpit.
Funny you should say this - I am sure Chris Schell did a pilot prop which I thought I had as I wanted to use it, but could not find it, eitehr on my hDD (if I have it it's buried in the bowels of another computer) and coudl find no obvious sign of it online (with, admittedly, a very casual search).
I have a handful of "pilot" figures/clothing, but nothing like the rising sun head scarf or the likes. THAT's what I'm talking about. (I know, I know, this brings me dangerously close to 'complaining about the number of rivets' - HA HA! But while I am not all that hung up on micro-details, I am not comfortable putting modern jet pilots in my vintage era prop jobs.
@Gogger "That said, and I wasn't picking on anyone HERE, "
Really? Doesn't seem like it.
No one is counting rivets, but when a product is advertised as a model of a historic warplane it's not unreasonable to expect accuracy in the major details. It's not advertised as a "generic WWII warplane". Would it be ok with American or British markings?
How about: "just for fun I added jet engines and missles". Would that be ok? How is a "properly clothed" pilot figure different?
