I have tried reading all the info that came with it and the stuff over at the carrara cafe, but I am still no closer to understanding it properly, I know you have to change the shaders to lux shaders and then fiddle about some more with them, but no matter what I do I cant seem to get good renders.

Was thinking of using Luxus to do the new Howie Scene - looks like a photo as it is in carrara, was just wondering what luxrender would make of it

    which i have read, but for someone like me it needs to be dumbed down, because obviously I'm doing something wrong :/

    I suggest you start with very simple scenes with only a few objects and work your way up…. Since there are so many interacting systems (lights, shaders) it would probably not be a good idea to start with a Howie scene… ;)

    If you'd like to post some renders probably people could give you more specific tips.
