How to completley remove Daz from a PC?

Have installed numerous versions of Studio, Carrara, including betas... also have content scattered over multiple drives. I want to completely remove and reinstall Studio / CMS... and start over.

I Uninstalled Carrara and Studio and started to remove the CMS and got the WARNING! I'm fine with starting over, but don't want to format my drive.

I did try the Database reset and CMS rebuild tutorials but they created more problems than it solved. Is it possible to do this or am I heading further up the creek without a paddle?

Running WIN 7 Pro

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Revo Uninstaller. The pro version is very good price though the free version has worked well enough for me.

It depends on just how much of it you want to remove as to how drastic you have to get, uninstallers will only remove the files listed in it, so 3rd party shaders/plugins will still be there, then there's all of the settings, some of which are stored in Appdata a hidden directory while the rest is in the registry.

So for a completely clean slate you have a lot of editing to do.

Dont forget on Win7 Pro the Hidden Programs Data folder, it also holds DAZ files.

Honestly, I want to remove as little as possible. The bulk of my problems is with the CMS. Although it has a lot of promise it's a nightmare wants it's a mess. If I could just remove the CMS and rebuild the database from ground zero I would be a happy camper.

Removing everything Daz is an attempt to rid my system of the CMS and any cruft left behind from numerous Studio and Carrara installs.

I did run the Revo uninstaller and ran it's registry scan and removed as much of the Daz programs and its entries as possible. This hoping that it will help with a clean start.

Is it me or would it not make sense for Daz to make removal of the CMS and it's remnants a straight forward process?

I got access to the Hidden Programs Data folder so anything Daz in that directory will be sent to the digital graveyard. Is there anything lurking in that directory that may not be labeled under the Daz monicker?

The Top part is Doable, just uninstall the CMS and in Program Data form the DAZ 3D folder remove the CMS folder. After installing DAZ again the New CMS will be installed. Then rebuild your Database.
