While I can't personally see many uses for this, it does look pretty cool (love the modern warfare textures!)!
Now a fantasy type saddle for hot female elven warriors for the Dakotaraptor I can find lots of use for, LOL (yeah, I know, too much ARK game play)
As the proud owner of Herschel's Dakotoraptor this sounds like an excellent idea to me. I'm not sure about the elven bit but a hot female warrior, wearing a glorified bikini and riding a Dakotoraptor, definitely gets my vote.
Cheers,
Alex.
@FSMCDesigns " (yeah, I know, too much ARK game play)"
Is there such a thing?
I will either be releasing Dakotaraptor 2 or making a Utahraptor that is optimized like the new rex. When that happens I'll be sure to make a saddle for it.
Looks great, looking forward to its release
This is so awesome! I wish I had one for my Hivewire Horse or Daz Horse 2.
I know, right!
Awesome! I would prefer the UtahRaptor since you already have the DakotaRaptor and the Utah is a little bigger and more bird like which would look pretty sweet with some raptor tack.. Would love to see it less western looking also and more fantasy like, maybe a bigger, raw looking pommel horn, some covers over the stirrups, more pronounced cantle, maybe layered flaps, etc. Anyhoo, looking forward to what you come up with!
Same here. I cannot cost justify another dakotoraptor but a utahraptor, with a saddle for my favourite amazon, would go down very well.
Cheers,
Alex.
Was not interested in Dinos (they are awesome to look at but I did not have any use for them in my runtime) until I saw this. Great job!
The saddle looks awesome!!! Will it be coming out during the March madness sale?
Not sure and and we're also told not to give out any hints of a release date.
The saddle is compatible with the T rex 3 only.
Nah, it's gotta' be a fuzzy butt, naked catgirl as only an obligate carnivore can control such a beast!
Sincerely,
Bill
Is that comma correctly placed?
In this instance, yes. Naked catgirls with fluffy, fuzzy butts. In other words, fur covered "furry" type ailuromorphs instead of the Japanese school girls merely sporting ears and a tail.
Sincerely,
Bill
That's some serious bowleggedness going with the rider there. I would think a higher saddle with the legs forward like a motorcycle would be more comfortable.
@Richard Haseltine "Is that comma correctly placed?"
. Pretty funny, in an understated British way.
downloading this and hoping you do this for future dinos your cowboy scene reminds me of Flesh, series from 2000 AD comics in that series cowboys time travel back and use dinos as cattle for meat to send back to the future. There was one large female T Rex called one eye very nasty one and one guy lost his hand to a dino think Raptor and replaced his hand with a raptor's claw.
Lots of dino comics back in the day remember another they were bio converted with weapons think it was also kinda He-Man inspired and there was Dinosaurs Attacks from the people who did Mars Attacks cards/comics. Dinosaurs get used a lot in British scifi in film, tv, games and comics. Oh Turok Dinosaur Hunter is another. Again you suprised me when you said dinosaurs don't do so well but glad your still going to do them since you love them and there are a lot of different ones like to see, have considered often picking up a lot of the older ones and real old ones but keep waiting to see what you do
The rope for mounting up is a brilliant idea-kudos for that!
It actually reminded me more of what was often in the comic, 'Cadillacs And Dinosaurs' (which used to be bundled in with the official 'Jurassic Park' comic). A bit of a strange story, that one, with a kind of retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic scenario, where dinosaurs were roaming the land alongside depictions of human civilisation in 1960s/1970s styles of clothing and technology. Odd, but visually intriguing!
Agree that including a mounting pose was an excellent idea!
Shall soon be using this for with the Dinosaur Queen outfit for an idea I have in mind...
Would really love to see poses for this saddle for the excellent Carnomoloch reptilian figure! Would be ideal for emulating a resmblance to Kroq-Gar and Grymloq for any 'Total War: Warhammer' computer game fan-art. :)
Encountering an issue with this: Once I place a figure (G8F) into the partial seated pose, posing the Rex (using the poses which are included with the Rex product) doesn't conform the figure accordingly and she just seems to levitate above it. Tried parenting the figure to the Rex and saddle, respectively, but that didn't make any difference.
It isn't anything critical, but does mean anything other than the default pose for the Rex will require a lot of trial-and-error manual relocation for the rider (and in some cases, reposing of individual legs, if the Rex pose causes one stirrup to be higher than the other).
Correct, they are just starter poses to get your figure started but with any adjustment to the rex, such as a posing the rex, will require you to adjust the rider as well to line everything up correctly. Since the rex and saddle bend and change shape with each movement, its impossible for the posed figure to smartly adapt its pose to match. Unless Daz has a feature I'm unaware of?
This is what I recommend:
1. Rex is at default pose
2. Apply pose to rider
3. Parent rider to rex bone "Torso 01"
4. Pose rex
5. Manually make needed adjustments to rider - making sure they're seated correctly, hands correctly gripping rope, feet are properly alligned inside the stirrups.
Torso 01 solved it! Thank you!
