Just occured to me... Not an animated version, but just for static images: A shader which would simulate the kind of computer code wrapping around characters and objects, as depicted in 'The Matrix'. Simple version could just be a black background with relevant symbols (there are several movie-authentic font sets available) in green. More realistic, advanced version would be the same green symbols, but with see-through transparency instead of black background.

And, obviously, the default could be for green symbols, but potentially also include sets for red, blue, yellow, black and so on, would make it even more flexible.

Between this and the recent 'Tron'-like UV shader product, I could see some truly amazing virtual reality-inspired images made with this.
