Hey! Buddy! Put the fourth wall back!
:cheese:
Three comments. (Probably more but three off the top of what I laughingly call my mind) ...
First off, I'd like to find Chibi Miku. She is Just So Cute! Anyone have any ideas?
...
I recall seeing her on one of the sites that also has free content for Kururu, but I don't remember which site... Poke around the various sites on this list and you may find her.

.
The site that I linked in my post was the site that I got her from.
It looks like the site was taken down or restricted for some reason.
Maybe he didn't pay the bill.
.
I'd send you a copy, but it states in the read me that you can't redistribute the zip file.
Try the way-back machine, you might get lucky.
as one paid item. A bundle. Everything that comes with the download. Now, the texture can be a seperate paid for if you bought it seperately. Then it also will count as one paid for.
:-)
I gotta work on doing something really bad one of these days...
I guess why I don't particularly care for the cartoon rendered stuff is because of the way it handles shadows. Or maybe it's because of how it looks against the original. I really like the original, one of the few Studio only renders I've done that I really like...although the way it handles lighting (as compared to Bryce) is a little clumsy (or maybe just different) to me. Poser lighting used to drive me nuts and Studio is a bit of an improvement, but I feel I have a better mastery of Bryce overall. Here's the original render to show you what I mean. I may go back and re-do it in Bryce for no other reason than because I can.

Just checked WayBack for it: they've got the DL page, but no Zips. Pity. I was hoping to snag that SS uniform.

What Fourth Wall?
The paid outfit is a paid item. The paid texture is a paid item. The two count as one paid item only if bought as a bundle. Thatpart of the rules I understand even with psychotropic meds working. :-)
Yeah, like the Blue Screen of Death - translation: Bite me! Totally frozen screen, complete with hourglass cursor - translation: I'm not doing that! #### you!

Heh, yep. I keep on thinking about the PC vs Mac ad where PC is saying, Well, you'll never see that problem again." And he was right. Each step got rid of some nasty little irritation in Windoze only to bring in a bunch more in its place. About the only thing consistent has been the BSOD. It would be the end of Windoze if it went away.
Very true :)
There's one problem with the latter. All the lovelies can run faster than I can now. ;-)

Cool, thanks. 'Course, Kururu's cute in her own right so ... :)
No worries, brah. I do appreciate the thought, though, and thank you for it. The way I see it is if she's to be part of my runtime collection it will happen. If not, it won't. This way I don't get all upset about not having something. :-)

It would be fun if software developers would make some cool error pop ups like " #### you, go draw it yourself" or " Give me a break.. I run 24/7 for you.. I want sleep"

It happened -- in a rather well known environment. They were quickly unemployed. Back in the early Usenet days there was quite the furor over it.
There was also a patch for MS-DOS that one could run that would return, ummmm, interesting results. Not recommended for use in a workplace. MP/M had a few "nasties" hidden in it.

Well I went back and looked at the rules. Music is silent on content that is provided by a software package. I personally think that it should be eligible. It is content that came with a free version of DAZ. Now the Poser content I am not so sure about. I have Debut and it came with 2 or 3 Gig of content. I got Debut free last Dec. I bought PoserPro2010 and got some additional content Debut did not have. So for the Debut content my take is it is a no count. No link but I didn't pay for it. The stuff that came with Poser Pro I would count as paid for because I paid for the software that it came with even though renders with Poser are allowed.
eligible yes, but not countable as a link towards the count of the month. that should solve the issue, just put it under the don't count but aren't paid items category.
So does that stuff count or not? After reading all the posts I am lost.
that would be a NO, it counts under the misc items that don't count
.
To answer your question, I set up each scene as usual, render a normal picture to a file, then change the one setting to render as a cartoon, without changing anything else, render again to a file with a new name. Than I load both pictures into PSP 7, with the cartoon picture as the bottom layer and the normal picture as the top layer. Adjust the transparency level of the top layer to 40% and save the picture with a new name.
.
Once all the scenes are done, I assemble them in a new blank file the full size of the final picture. Each picture on a separate layer. Move it up & down to suit, trim off the top of each picture to show the layer below and when you're happy, save the picture.
At this time I’ll add another new layer to put any text needed.
.
As an example; in the picture below, the top is a normal picture, the middle is a cartoon picture and the bottom is the merged picture. As you can see, the doorway is blacked out in the cartoon picture. By adding the normal picture on top, all the missing textures can be seen. And it still looks like a cartoon.
not to be a spoil sport, but I think if you have to go into PS to change your render that you are doing post work, I will let music be the final judge on this one, but post work is post work, isn't it???
I have to admit I am with you on that Jeeperz, that's the way I read it as well. I too hate being so pedantic, but rules is rules, and by 'eck just lately we seem to have had far too many queries and quibbles about rules. Not sure what has gone wrong just lately.
Where's the fun and games all gone to.
If I have to, I can resubmit a toon only entry as I have all the original renders, it won't take long to re-assemble the first entry.
As for my second, I just have to replace the picture.
I'll do what the boss lady wants, not a problem.
.
I'm currently rendering a follow up to my first entry, as several people asked for the next page.
Same scene, different characters.
Gerry
Was you referring to me ???? Music is the Boss, I am only part of the team as far as this challenge is concerned. I wear all sorts of different hats. Sometimes I get muddled up and forget which one I am wearing at what time :red:
must be the weather cho, can't think of any other reason why (well I can, but...)
well I'm pretty sure he (or she) wasn't referring to me as the boss, I get no respect around here sometimes (just kidding) let alone being considered the boss lady around here. You'd think being an ETO would get me some respect, but I'm good with that, then music can be the heavy not me.
ok, ok, I'm done whining now
I thought Lonnie was the host/boss of this month's contest.
Music has final say on the contest rules, but isn't Lonnie the host?
.
Just for the record, I'm a guy, balding with a pot belly and sideburns.
.
.
//EDIT:
.
Oops! I meant Dollygirl is this months host.
My bad! I knew I should have checked her name.
Sorry about that!

Created with DAZ Studio 3 and Comic Life 2. Not sure if the rules have been broken, but as for the required freebie from Most Digital Creations, my butt is covered.
The plan was to have only the Adam Thwaites freebies that are permanently available, but several of his short-term "Surprise Gifts" sneaked in. (I have so many that I could do several entries using only them.)

Me no boss lady. me is the newest member of the Daz forum team is all. Heck there was one day I didn't even know what I was. In the space of less than 24 hours I was a mod, went back to being a member, back to mod and then suddenly an admin. OK I do know what was going on, but it was as confusing as anything all the same. lol.
So what can we do to cheer this contest up a bit.
Somebody posting to the Daz forums is done whining? Amazing!
Do you think you could convince some of the folks over in Members Only to stop whining, too?
Jerry please check your PMs. And Jeeperz, Cho this is the early warning system!
"PIES INCOMING"
Everybody "DUCK"!
The render qualifies Jester. Like the story going on and your abilities of creating a story from your renders is improving with each submital. Nice job.
