Child Apropriate Clothes for G3/G8

One of the detriments to Genesis 3/8 being so malleable is that there are no real dedicated child figures any more. While dedicated child figures may have lead to limited clothing options, it did lead to age-appropriate clothing actually being made. Now that you can fit almost any G3/8 outfit onto a child, most of them are not outfits I’d want to stick a child in, especially outfits for G3/8 female. So, I’m wondering what outfits others have found to be child-friendly.

Some people have suggested that making a dedicated G8 child figure would not be commercially viable; that sales figures would be very low. Perhaps they base this on the relatively low sales of the K4 characters, especially when compared to V4. However to be fair the K4 base figure was awful (IMO)!

Clearly there is some demand for child characters as illustrated by the popularity of ZevO's Growing Up Morphs and the series of high quality child figures based on G3 and G8 by Angel Wings which use these morphs, over at Renderosity.

In my opinion, if DAZ were to release a high quality dedicated child figure (eg based on G8) AND support it with sufficient child appropriate clothing, textures, environments and props, then there would be demand. Further, once DAZ got the ball rolling, other PAs might well support a child figure for G8. However, without sufficient child appropriate clothing etc, a child version of G8 might well go the way of K4.

Perhaps, DAZ could employ/commission artists such as Angel Wings and Thorne (to name but a couple) to design a base child figure for them; they certainly have the skill and would do a much better job than whoever designed K4.
