Unable to drag and drop objects into Carrara 8.5

I upgraded to Carrara 8.5 and am unable to drag or copy and paste objects from the browser into my project window. Is anyone else
having this issue and if so how can I solve it?

    I have never heard of copy/paste working from the browser…. Normally just drag to the "stage" or to the instances tab -- that is if they are objects. Scene elements like shaders, backgrounds, hdri presets need to be dragged directly onto their control panels (ie: realistic sky presets dragged to realistic Sky panel or Background panel…)

    Double clicking on a Browser object should either load the item or open a new scene to contain the item...
